The Meadow Club Renovations NEED NEW VENUE ASAP!!!!

So my FH and I have been very productive with booking and paying for our wedding. Our Motto is 'get as much done as early as possible'. We booked our reception at The Meadow Club due to the amazing pricing and the close distance to our church. From the get go, something just didn't seem right and we felt like we were dealing with used car salesmen. But we figured everything would be fine... Little did we know the hell we were about to endure.

The Meadow club was purchased by the Curry club of east setauket a few months ago. The new owners have renovated the venue with adding a restaurant (which will be open during events), have painted the venue with a HORRID color scheme (LOTTSSS of gold and purple) and have added statues of Hindu/Indian faiths. We have tried so hard to let it go but every day the changes that are made are worse and worse.

We are in desperate need of a new reception venue ASAP! Ofcourse we received amazing pricing at The Meadow club because the owners new they were selling and they wanted to book as many events as possible. PLEASE HELP!!!!

If you want to stay in that same area, I would definitely recommend the Old Field Club or Three Village Inn (Old Field Club has that rustic feel and same with Three Village Inn) or Danfords on the water in Port Jeff?? Any Lessing's venues are great!

I am getting married at the Bellport Country Club I also recommend that! The food tasting sold us right away!

I'm not sure what kind of feel/look you're going for but there's so many great venues in Suffolk County.

If you're looking for something in the same area, maybe try Lombards on the sound, three village inn, miller place inn, miller beach surf club.

We have tried Three Village inn, Old field club, Lombardis on the Sound, and the bellwort country club... all venues are booked on that date :(

Miller Place Inn and Miller beach Surf Club also booked up. I have called three of the blessings venues and they are also booked. The only one open is in Huntington and thats a bit too far...

I'm not sure what style venue you are looking for but you should try Watermill! Its not too far from Port Jeff and they are finishing up the last of the renovations in February which are extremely neutral (not purple and gold LOL)

Some other venues I thought of were Willow Creek (Mt. Sinai), Flowerfield (St James), Windows on the Lake (Lake Ronkonkoma), or Wind Watch (Hauppauge). Just trying to think of all the possibilities!

Have you thought about East Wind in Riverhead? Also: Smithtown Landing, Timber Point Mansion, it's further away from where you were but the Riveria in Massapequa, captain bills in Bayshore, stone bridge country club, lands end, the woodlands at the greens, Mansion at West Sayville Country Club.. That's all I can think of right now. I am so sorry this happened, but it will all work out!

Ah no! Hopefully you find something else really soon. I am just curious, are they penalizing brides who are now canceling? Or are they more than willing to fully refund all brides who now want to switch? BTW, my cousin got married at Captain Bills in Bay Shore and everything was fantastic! Not sure if you were interested in checking it out there, I think she paid around $80-$90ish per person for a Friday night.

Yay! Glad that worked out! Just be very abrupt and harsh with them. The place is not what you signed up for anymore, and I wouldn't leave the office without most of my money back. Good luck! Keep us posted! =)

Pursuant to Suffolk County Law, if an event is cancelled within six months of the date of the event, the venue must return any and all payments, minus 5% of $100 (whichever is less) for a cancellation fee.
