The million dollar question(but not really haha)

The million dollar question(but not really haha)

So my FH and i are doing our BBB registry tonight. I was talking to my mom and grandma and joked that I wouldn't be getting one of the most traditional things- a coffee maker, because neither FH or I drink coffee, ever.

So my mom laughed and my grandma said that I MUST register for a coffee maker so that when I entertain I can offer my guests coffee. Uhhhh, not only do I not drink coffee,I dunno how to MAKE coffee

So my question is, do I really need a coffee maker on my registry? Or can I just offer my guests wine?

I dont drink it either, unless I crave something iced in the summer. We put two coffee makers on the BBB registry bc FH is a coffee fiend.

Maybe reg for a Keurig so you can have individual kcups handy for company. You can put it away when you arent using it, and it ALSO can make hot cocoa and iced tea I believe.

Get one of the coffee makers that has the pods. This way it is easy *(and you can know how to make it).

I do not drink coffee either but they have apple cider and hot chocolate you can make in them also!

Wow all moms are the same. Mine told me the same thing. Neither me or FH drink coffee. So I told her I would get a Keurig. Then at least I can have the coffee pod things on hand for when I have people over, but when its just me and FH we can have all the other fun ones they have.

Im the same as you. Dont drink coffee, dont have a coffee maker and I dont want one either. Why take up cabinet or counter space for something you will rarely use? Im sure your guest will be fine with any other beverages... esp wine! If you dont want it, dont register for it.

You can get one of the smaller Keurigs

I make all sorts of thing in there....coffee, chai tea, regular tea, hot chocolate

I do love hot chocolate, chai tea and apple cider. YUM, thanks for being so helpful ladies.

I am kind of excited about this thing now!

Ok, whats great about a Kerig is there are more then just coffee pods... there are teas, you can do iced teas, AND things like hot chocolate etc. so you can still use it even if you don't like coffee .

However, they can be expensive if you're not ever going to use it. So you can always have a french press handy. They're small so you can keep it away, and people who like coffee will typically like french press coffee better.

I would recommend the Cuisineart one. It is more expensive than the Keurig but takes the same pods.

I had two separate Keurig machines and they both broke very quickly,. The girl at Bed Bath and Beyond actually told me that she gets about 10 of them returned a day because of problems.

don't get a coffeemaker ... if you really want to entertain people and serve coffee, just buy the $15 coffeemaker at target or something ... don't 'waste' a gift on it

I would get the keurig... I love it! (I am also a self proclaimed coffee addict) and like some of the other girls mentioned you can also make hot cocoa, tea, iced tea, iced coffee, etc, etc.

I don't want to serve coffee to anyone ever haha. If I buy any kind of coffee maker I will not know how to use it lmao. I guess my house will be BYOC

when i moved into my apartment (before i even DH), i bought a coffeemaker for entertaining purposes only ... i think i used it twice. It's been in my closet collecting dust for about 4 years now

seriously, don't buy a cofeemaker

i would just get a nice big french press, or a perculator. something that is easily stored away when you're not using it, which sounds like it will be most of the time. i do drink coffee and don't have room on the counter for my machine, so i have to put it away... therefore, i never use it. french press is what i use when i make at home.

Like most of the people that have already responded to this, I would recommend registering for a Keurig since you and her FH don't drink it often.

I agree with the other girls who said to register for the Keurig. When people come over you don't want to tell them 'bring your own coffee maker'. If you don't get it, it won't be the end of the world but I would def get one anyway. They also make tea and hot chocolate so you'll at least be able to make those too.

They actually make coffee bags that are just like tea bags, but they brew coffee... obviously, haha. You can just register for a tea kettle and then have some coffee bags on hand for when you entertain.
