The most expensive shrimp I have ever eaten...

Patrick and I had dinner with my sister and her fiance at PG's Steak House tonight. For an appetizer I ordered the special, which was shrimp cocktail (about 8 good sized shrimp) with fresh mozzarella, tomato and onion. It was very good.

When the bill came it was a bit higher than what we anticipated. We knew it would be a pricey meal, but this was more than what we expected, so we checked to see if maybe an error was made. It turned out that my appetizer was $60!!!

I'm all for paying the price for a great meal, but that was crazy! Who knew a few shrimp with cheese, tomato, and onion could cost so much!?!

Jenn you should totally call and tell them they should have told you the price. Nobody gets charged $60 for shrimp cocktail - not even at a really fine restaurant. That is ridiculous.

I don't think that I have ever even had something that expensive as a main course!

I can't believe they didn't have the price on the menu, that's is just wrong on their part.

That is totally unacceptable. I would have had a fit! If you knew it was $60 and chose to order it anyway that is one thing but what they pulled was a total scam. Shame on them.

Ridiculous, right??? It was even more than my entree, and I had surf and turf!

Now that I think about it, I should have complained. I think I'm going to take Jenny's advice and call today.

Patrick's attitude is that next time we are told specials without prices, we will ASK! Honestly, it was delicious, but NOT worth $60.

That is insane. Who even expects ANY appetizer to cost that much let alone shrimp with some tomato and cheese?!!And it cost more than your entree? What's up with that?? I'd love to hear what they say to you when you call.

Any appetizer should NEVER cost that much - I agree with the others, that's really insane.

If you do call, let them know that they really should be warning customers of that insane charge if they plan to continue serving it!!

I never liked menus with no price
I almost always ask prices if theyre not listed.

Jenn, let us know what they say. and INSIST on getting 'something' out of it Maybe a free meal !

that's almost 8 bucks PER SHRIMP! are you aure it wasn't a mistake? if you had surf and turf and the dinky shrimp was more expensive than that, there is something VERY WRONG.

That cannot be right. That sounds like price gouging (sp?). I would call and complain because, by charging that astronimical price and not putting the price on the menu, it amounts to misrepresentation. Did any of the menus have prices on it? If the men's menus did, I would call scream discrimination.

that makes no sense to me!!!! some companies take such advantage on holiday's it's disgusting!
