I conducted an interview this morning with a potential employee.
I was talking about our big old MAC and I don't know what I said about it that got this response but the woman answered:
'I am ideologically opposed to AOL.'

I didn't know what to do with that. So I said, 'Yeah, me, too...' We don't have AOL in our office; but I hired her and random girl starts tomorrow.
At the very least, I'll be entertained.

PS - Suzbride - I hope you enjoyed that one.

I was actually never part of the Yule Lads phenomenon......I just ride on it's coattails for kicks!

Great thread!!!!!!!!!!

This was before I wandered myself over here. I pretty much stuck to 06 and BHB while I was actually still planning my wedding.

So anyway, how's that lady doing Mel? Does she still work with you? Did you ever find out why she's IO to AOL??

I posted serveral updates - I learned that she was not idelogically opposed to binge drinking. And that she needed health insurance. I lost her about four weeks. She named our printer MacGuyver. I'll light a candle in her memory tonight. I'll never know what AOL did to her though.

I'll tell you though it may not be a cool story --

It's our mac printer (we have the oldest mac and the oldest printer in the world attached to old mac) -- and it's falling apart but because we're closing shop, I'm too cheap to find a new one and it suits our needs well.

Before she came, I assigned Old Mac a gender (boy) and as he's broken down, I've held up his paper tray with like duct tape and when he needs extra help, I use super big bible to prop it up, too. Unrelated -- I also hit and curse at him on a regular basis because he jams all of the time.

So because of tape and the bible, Old Mac became MacGuyver.
