THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Good work Scott. And you don't have to be overweight to learn how to eat right. You are a perfect example. Being healthy is the motivator for wanting to eat right, not just wanting to be thin.
Good luck with getting on the exercise kick! Make it a habit and you're good to go . You may just gain back some of that weight in the form of beefy muscle .

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Oh my word, I missed my motivational thread today. I will double up on the positive quotes tomorrow.

Wow Scott you are the bomb man, * I bow at your feet* NOt a lot of men are willing to do look at themselves, if you notice most weight loss is targeted at women. You deserve a round of applause.

Febbride I hope you feel better soon

Sage welcome back sweetie you were missed.

To each and everyone I wish you all slim days and healthy eating.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

PS Sage we do not call it a diet we call it a lifestyle change. Sage at least you are aware. Keep it going

Scott I believe you can start small and will be able to fit exercise in to your schedule, find what you like to do and do it. Swim, jog, walk, a class etc.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Well I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I weighed in on Friday, and it was a bad weigh in for everyone in my group, except for the woman that eats the most. She actually lost .4. It figures lol.

I gained .8. I was a little upset at the time, but I am positive and I know I will lose it again. I know why I gained too. I was eating Italian Ices every night, which isnt a bad thing, but I didnt realize that the cream ices had whole milk in it. I dont know what I was thinking. I had vanilla chip everynight last week.

So this week I am going to steer clear of the ices or just eat the water ices.

After weigh in we went to the diner to eat our normal after weigh in meal. We had cheeseburgers yummm. Friday is my last day for the week so I used some flex points.

Saturday and Sunday I stayed OP...and I plan to do so for the rest of the week.

This week we received 'the truth about carbs' from WW. It is chock full of useful information on what to eat and what not to eat. What carbs are healthy and unhealthy too.

I just gotta keep being Positive and know that I can do this....For me.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Morning all, I am not at work today, I cut out to stay home with hubby. I don't think I made some great choices this weekend, but that does not mean I threw the entire weekend away. I am sticking closer to portion size, ie if it says 1tsp I do not use 1 tbsp I am using my equal to sweeten my hubby's punch which I cannot do without. We do not have a red meat problem in our home so my problem is watching my sugar and bread intake.

Scott I am proud of you to only have gained .8 lbs and you ate what you wanted, I will say it was worth it at least you look back and know where you went wrong.

I wish you all a wonderful day making great, healthy choices.

Please remember that if you guys find any great quotes in your travels, that will motivate us, please share them with us.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Here is your quote for today. I think if you expect more of yourself you will not want to let yourself down.

John Steinbeck (1902-1968) American Novelist
It is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him

Henry Ward Beecher (1813-1887) American Presbyterian Minister
Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself - and be lenient to everybody else.

I found some quotes too...

You can if you think you can. Engrave those seven words deeply in your consciousness. They are packed with power and truth.

Never forget that all the enthusiasm you need is in your mind. Let it out - let it live - let it motivate.

Those are great, I live by the first one. If I set my mind to eating right I know I can and I have been. That quote is powerful and so is the mind

Morning all here is your motivational quote for today.

'People of mediocre ability sometimes achieve outstanding success because they don't know when to quit. Most people succeed because they are determined to.'

May your day be filled with lots of healthy choices and not one single temptation. If you do get tempted, make wiser choices.

Take care all. Be well.
