The name game....

Original post by Kathi

23 weeks today and we've finally decided that we should think about a name for our Peanut...hehe.

We've gone through 100's, literally!! DH would like to use 'S' for the first name as his late father's name was Sheldon, although, we don't *have* to use it.

Sooo, right now we're liking:

Sean Michael (I'm the Irish one, and my late brother's name is Michael).

Sarah Elizabeth (Sarah is a Hebrew name meaning Princess - awww - and my middle name is Elizabeth).

My sister, who has 3, said I should be thankful I'm only working with 1 letter as opposed to 26!

Any suggestions??

Re: The name game....

So, DH and I were talking about names again last night and here's his latest suggestion:

STORM!!!!!! (he's serious), or Sebastian (after the field goal kicker on the Raiders!)

And this is where it really gets funny... he says 'Why can't we use my middle name for Sarah instead of yours?' No prob, honey, except your middle name is LEE! No way my is going to be named Sarah Lee!!!! OMG!!! I can already see her running off the school bus in tears!!

Re: The name game....

Well at least she would be named after YUMMY treats

I don't understand why men like to name their children after sports 'heros' that they have never met. Scott told me he wants a boy named Brady if we ever have 2 boys (named after the Patriot's quarterback). I told him NO, NO, NO.

What about Sarah Lynn (close to Lee)

Ohhhhhhhh the confusion and pressure!!

Maybe we'll wait until he/she is born to decide!?

Thanks for all the input, ladies!!

Re: The name game....

We're not even married yet and FI and I had a huge discussion about when we have children. My father is Jewish and I have to name after the dead. My grandfather passed away 6 years ago and his name started with a J.

I told FI IF we have a boy I would like Joseph William (Joseph is FI's middle name and william is my fathers name) and if we have a girl I want Jacqualine Sarah (Jacqualine is my great grandmother who is gone 4 years and my fathers mother who just recently passed away)

He on the other hand keeps shaking his head no at the names. I then told him fine how about Madison Tiffany after my favorite avenue to shop and my favorite store. He said then why dont we just name the boy Harry Winston.

So we are not even married and having baby name issues.

My suggestion, wait till the baby is born. My parents had originally wanted to name me Jennifer Lee but when I was born my dad looked at me and said nah, and he said it has to be Melissa Anne.

So i would say wait till the baby is born.
