Thats crazy!! I've read so many negative things about her on here...I've always been completely turned off.
I wouldnt book another trial with you. Who cancels 3 weeks before an event? Not cool and not acceptable.

I have never had any problems with her, although every time i read something like this it puts a knot in my stomach

I contacted ***** for a makeup trial and she contacted me 2 weeks later asking where I was, I emailed her back right away and did not get an email back for another 2 weeks saying, Sorry to far for me. That's it.
Things happen for a reason and now you won't have to worry about her doing this to you on the Big Day! Hope you find someone for your E-party.

OMG!!! This is a nightmare! It seems like at the end of the day she can do whatever she wants and she doesnt have to give you your deposit back---Toooo much of a risk! This is some Sh!T i couldnt chance!!! Hair and makeup is a BIG deal!!!!

I think she has to give you back your deposit. You booked HER, not someone who works for her. Since it's such short notice, what about just going to a MAC counter and having your makeup done? That's what I did for my e-party and it looked great---I received so many compliments. The application is free--you just have to tip and buy 5 products. Sorry you are going through this. Good luck!

i;ve heard this about her and although i have also heard great reviews it wasnt worth it for me. Sorry you have to deal with this 3 weeks before your party - but imagine how much worse it would be if it were 3 weeks before your wedding.
I hope you paid the deposit on your credit card... if she gives you a hard time dispute the charge!!!!

Ladies just some words of advice:
If you are uncomfortable or unsure about a vendor GO WITH YOUR GUT!
It's not the work I wasn't happy with. M*I*A does beautiful work. It was the organization and customer service that had me worried. I cancelled with her about 2 weeks ago and didn't care that I lost my deposit. Thankfully I did because she would have cancelled on me with 2 1/2 weeks to my wedding.
I think M*I*A is a really sweet person and has always been more than accommodating. I just needed to be 100% confident in my artist.
