Hi I am a Future EW Estate Bride. I fell in love the minute I walked in. I actually thought that the price was going to $$$$$$$$$. But when they told us the price I reseved my date right then and there.

I am not using any house vendors. I am using Dale's Flowers From the Heart as my florist. I worked there all through high school. Dale is awesome, such a sweet lady. She has 2 stores, one in patchogue and one in Farmingvilled. I would recommend that people check them out. TRy to talk with Dale directly.

I havent booked a DJ or photographer, I guess I better get a move on with that. huh?

I am having 165 guests.

Anyone going to the expo tonight? I am bringing FH so he can taste the food.

Anyone getting married in the country gardens? I have a question...what if it rains? I know the ceremony will be moved indoors, but do guests have to walk in the rain to and from the cocktail hr?

They told me that they will have big golf umbrella's to walk the guest from the cocktail hour to the reception.

When I went they said it was approx $45-$65, depending on how big it is and what kind of flowers you use. I was looking at one's w/ candles too. Don't forget you get $10 off per table too!

For those of you who had/are having your wedding at The Estate, what color bridesmaid dresses did you choose? I know the room is very green, and I am curious what colors go well with it.

Are there any East Wind brides who have booked a make-up and/or hair vendor? if so, who are you using??

I am SO SO SO excited about being an East Wind bride. We're in the Estate. I love that building!!!

By the way, in response to the bride who asked, my bridesmaids dresses are a deep royal blue. Mom is in navy, FMIL is in eggplant, and Grandma is in wine. I think the dark colors will compliment the room nicely (plus, I'm in March). Good luck!

We are having our reception at the Estate and our invite list is between 200 -250 people. The only house vendor that we are using is Tommy Tunes. James Cress does beautiful flowers, but we did find them a little costly. With respect to the other vendors, they all seemed really good, but we were just happier with the other vendors we have chosen so far.

All 3 facilities at EW are beautiful and I can't wait until 2006!! I have heard wonderful things about the place from everyone I run into, which makes me very happy.

Good luck to all the other EW couples. The place is amazing.

The girls' dresses are navy blue. As for flowers, I want to double check re: the color of the linens. Once we know that I can tell the florist and we'll decide from there. We decided on low centerpieces, with approx. three dozen roses in a globe-like vase. I wanted something simple, yet elegant b/c I find the room itself beautiful and I didn't want flowers to compete with it. But we just need to decide on the ivory roses or some color
