THE NEW DATE!! story..

I kno everyone is waiting to hear all about my weekend. First off it was very awesome, lemme start off by saying that. Me and the 'new date' met up in Forest Hills, and it was soo funny cause he was on one corner and i was on the opposite and we r calling each other yet we couldnt find each other, we had quite a good laugh over it and it def. broke the 'first time meeting ya' kind of tension. being i didnt really know what he even looked like i was def. happy..he was very cute and we chatted alot right off the bat...we had such a busy weekend!! yes thats right i said weekend..

.basically friday nite..we went to drop off his overnite bag incase he stayed in queens...at this time he was so sweet cause he said he wanted to buy me flowers but didnt want them on the train so instead he got me an amazing book of quotes that had flowers on the cover and all the quotes were about friendship and love!! it was awesome!! he didnt even know i collect quotes!!!

then we went out to dinner, (he paid)..we chatted..and then went to play some pool and get some drinks..afterwards we wanted to keep hanging out so we went to rent a movie and watch it at my place..it was all very innocent!! let me first get that straight but he did crash at my place but it was G rated!! he even ASKED ME if he could kiss me!! is that nott he cutest thing in the world!!!!!!! such a gentlemen!!!!!

so we crashed at my place so we could c each other saturday..we got up, got bagels and coffee around noon and went bowling!! lol..then we got pizza for dinner and went into the city for a nite on the town..it was so much fun we went to a comedy club and laughed our a$$es of for hrs!!! i have never done so many things in a 48 hr period!!! THEN late late saturday nite i got so sick, i didnt drink at all! i think im getting the flu, my stomach was killing me, i was dizzy i wanted to throw up ..so after he came back to my place and he was soo sweet rubbing my stomach!! he felt soo bad i was sick!!!!

it was all in all an awesome amazing weekend, and he is just such a great, cool, sweet guy..he already asked if i would maybe visit him some weekend upstate of course i said yes..

but of course, i m having issues as usual..even tho i had this amazing incredible weekend with a great guy, i must admit something is wrong with me, cause altho i like everything about him and am attracted to him, it feels like something is missing, i think it is because i still have parts of my ex in my heart and i must admit a piece of me is still waiting to see what happens with 'the original 'my date' but i m def. going to keep my eyes, heart and head open to possibilities that this might go somewhere, plus its better to take it all in time cause my heart is still healing, i really did have tons of fun tho!!! :)

The 'New' date seems like a real catch.. not as many guys fit the 'gentleman' description as in years before...

IMHO I really think the 'something missing' feelingyou were getting might have to do with the ex....

So now whats going on with he 'original' date?? Are you two rescheduled yet?? are you going to back on another date with the 'new' guy? Sounds like you two had fun!!

Glad to hear the good news.. You deserved it!!

I gotta agree the new guy does seem like a great catch. Its funny, I asked Danielle if I could kiss her the first time we kissed. She still jokes about it to this day....Asking me what I would of done if she said 'no'.

Anyway....I am happy you had a great time and I cannot believe how much stuff you did in that short of time. That is awesome.

I think the feelings you are feeling really have to do with your ex. Don't worry it is really normal.

As for the original date. I would continue doing what you are doing....Keeping seeing the upstate date, and if the original date calls and you have no plans then hang out with him....but if you already have plans, then don't break them...Don't sit around waiting for this guyto call you when it is convenient for him.

He sounds great! Give it some time before deciding whether or not something is 'missing' -- you don't know him very well yet. Easier said than done, I know.

Just take things as they come, don't stress and read to much into things. Your 'something missing' is very normal given all you've been through, as long as you don't let it consume your every thought!!

Good luck no matter what happens...but I can tell you when I met FH, I was NOT ready, I was 'barely' over my ex and I thought wow, hes so sweet but is something missing...I think I was questioning myself because I almost couldnt believe he was that perfect and could be the one...Thank GOD he pursued me hard core or I would have lost the best thing that ever happened to me. So, although maybe this new date is not the one in the end, make sure like you said, you keep the possibilities open, because one day I woke up realizing the guy I was 'questioning' was the love of my life

Just a very quick note to say I am VERY happy to hear that 'The New Date' went well this weekend!!

I think its totally understandable that you still have hesitation and do still harbor some feelings towards your ex. It takes time.

But this new guy sounds like a sweetheart, and I am happy for YOU that you were treated so nicely and had a wonderful weekend
