Thanks Sept20yay who inspired me on this

The 2004 brides have a little thread going on about how our mothers are driving us NUTS!!!

So I am expanding this to all the girls who have nutty mothers and are driving them bonkers with the wedding. I figure we can all share stories, battle scars and lean on each other for support and comfort.

So let the nutty mother stories begin. We are all here for you

maybe I should tell her instead of going to the gas station all she needs to do is get out the garden hose, add a cup of sugar and voila - full tank!

Thank goodness my FMIL keeps her opinions to herself because my mom has insulted a lot of the things I want - like my PHOTOGRAPHER (who I happen to think is the greatest thing since sliced bread) and the BM dress I want... so I stopped telling her stuff! It works much better this way! My FMIL gets so excited every time I tell her anything, no matter what - sometimes I think she's just happy someone is finally gonna marry her son

My mom is the winner... Submitted for your consideration (could care less about the wedding):

1. Every comment about the wedding isn't just 'your wedding'. It is 'your f-ing wedding'.
As in, 'your f-ing wedding is cost ing me x amount!'
or 'Enough, We have all heard about your f-ing wedding! Don't we have anything else to talk about?'

2. After dragging her to get the bm dresses when I managed to assemble my bridal party, she YELLS in RK Bridal- in front of many happy brides there with their parents- 'This is all BS! The dress stuff is BS. Choose one and let's get out of here and go eat! I know many people who take time choosing their dresses and are divorced six months later!' The brides all looked suicidal after that.

3. She isn't buying her own dress for the wedding. She is having the housekeeper go and get something on sale for her.

4. I begged her for two months to come with me to this appointment for dresses, confirmed with her the whole time including the night before. Pysched to get this appt b/c it was one of those packed, can't get appt salons. She sleeps in that day. I call her from the wedding salon- 'mom, where are you?' She says 'I'm too tired. I'm sleeping. We could do this another day!

I could go on, but do I win?

sept20...you won't get an argument from me (and by the way, thats the first time I've EVER said that in my life!)

I'm sorry about your mom!! I wouldn't invite her to the wedding if that were me!! She should be ashamed of herself - she's sounds like she's still bitter (your parents are divorced, right?)

I actually agree - my fmil is crazy and my mom can be really mean, but I know Marisa's mom firsthand and she takes the cake.

between Megan and Suzanne, my mother is a SAINT!! My mom's great though.. I guess I'm lucky.. and FMIL has done a complete 360 so thank god for that..

At least Meghan has experience with difficult people!!!

I feel bad for my MOH too... my mom has been driving her nuts from day one but her motivation is different - my mom wants to be there because she needs to be the center of attention!
