I am still undecided. We are going in two weeks to try on more dresses. At least I still have time to decide.
Now, LOL are you guys having low or high centerpieces?

I am NOT pleased right now. It's not really a big deal but I think it's annoying. I had previously posted about them giving us the run around with the food tasting, first telling us we couldn't have one b/c we'd been to weddings there (over 2 years ago I might add), then we were supposed to go in January but we had to cancel, then in February and March they bumped us for others who were getting married sooner which was okay b/c our wedding isn't until November.
We haven't heard from them, even though they were supposed to call us, so FH just called to find out what the story was...the next tasting isn't until September and they are going to TRY to put us on the list! Are they kidding? I guess it's better b/c it's closer to our date but I do not like the fact that had FH not called, we probably wouldn't be getting a tasting. He's waiting for our BM to call him back to see what the story is.

Stress to your BM that you want to do a tasting BEFORE you sit down with the maitre'd to set eh menu. I also had to push to get on the list for the tasting. I had gotten in on the January tasting. Don't worry - the food is fabulous.

I am actually very shocked to read this. We had the complete opposite experience with them with respect to the food tasting. We did our tasting 2 months before our wedding so we could remember the food. I think the problem is that they try to get the upcoming brides to the food tasting, so they probably figure you still have time to get in on one of their later tastings.
Don't worry though...the food was good and plentiful!

You are probably right. I'm not worried about the food not being good. I would just like to see what they have to offer so I can make a good decision as to my menu. It's just pissing me off that I'm paying for over 300 people to be at my wedding and I have to hound them to get a tasting. They should just say it will happen within 3 months of your wedding or something like that rather than giving us the runaround. Hey, you know what, if this is the biggest 'problem' I have with NRC, I should stop complaining!

I finally have a pic of the new carpet in the ballroom ... for those of you who haven't seen it.
Its pretty ... I guess ... just not 100% convinced it goes with the colors of the marble dancefloor

I actually really like it!!! I think it goes w/ the marble floor because it has that tan/gold color in it. All in all I think it looks good
