Congrats and Welcome!!!! I felt clueless too when I first came on this site but the girls here are wonderful and you get used to it all really fast. Hi! Welcome to our little thread! I have added you to the list.
It is in syosset, apparently its the closest to north ritz club and does have a shuttle. He didnt mention about paying for rooms that are not taken. He is sending me a contract. When I read through it, I'll let you know.
Ah alright. When my Sister was married at the NRC in 2003- she had blocked rooms at the Fairfield. I was planning on checking them out.

Where is the La Quinta?
My mom and fiance, Michael, booked rooms at the fairfield. My mom loved the inside, and I know this is nuts, but there's a Ralph's Italian Ices right out side of it. Just about my whole bridal party is from up state (college friends) and are obsessed with Ralphs Italian Ices. When they visit, before we can do anything else, we have to stop at a Ralph's, so it was a big plus ! ( I know I sound completely ridiculous!)

La Quinta is in Garden City right near Roos Field. the inside lobby is really nice, they provide a free full continental breakfast w/ belgian waffles for guests in the AM, free dinner/snack every night for guests (first night it was pasta with chicken and broccoli, the night of our wedding/after party it was chicken fingers) and we got a free shuttle for every 15 rooms booked. i didnt see the hotel until the day before our wedding (my mom took care of the hotel stuff for us) but i was pleasantly surprised especially since the name sounds tacky -- the place was really nice inside. only downside is no pool.

well they called us to come to the sept 10th one but now i cant go bc its back to school night!!!

They are every other month or every two months depending. I am just going to go next week to get it over with.

Oheka is pretty close. I am not sure if you can take pictures there but it would be nice!

If you click on my wedding at the top it will navigate you to your account where you can add pictures.
The NRC told me they supply menus....its a standard style but if I wanted it to match a theme I would have to make them myself.

I'm getting married at NRC too and am waiting at least another 6 months to go for a tasting. Am worried that whatever I taste now I a) won't remember it when it comes time to pick my menu and b) they might change the menu between now and December.
Also, they too told me they would do menu cards but if i wanted to make special i would have to do them myself.
