I go to drop off my payments in person so I have an excuse to see the place again...i fall in love more and more everytime i see it!

what hotels did you girls block rooms out? are you guys doing a brunch for your guests the next day?

We blocked the Hilton Garden Inn in Melville and yes we are doing a brunch the next day

We didn't block off any rooms ... the vast majority of our guests are on Long Island/5 boroughs, and none of them will stay. It just doesn't seem like something we need to do.

As for the day after, I suggested brunch and FH was kind of ... less than thrilled. Not sure he realizes this is something a lot of people do. But we'll see!

Anyone know if there are any food tastings in March or April yet? My family cannot make the Feb ones because of tax season

Hey we went to the tasting a few months ago-the food was great, we all loved the salmon the best! FH's dad and mom, who are off the boat Italian kept saying 'the food is beautiful!' LOL
You know how italians are with their food

You will definitely enjoy the tasting.

We do the same thing. FH says it would easier to just put a check in the mail, but what fun would that be?

I'm not sure which hotel we are going with. We better get a move on though. The clock is ticking. I wouldn't mind a bunch the next day.

So I am also obsessed with the NRC and have visited a few times recently. I went right before weddings to see how things were set up. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the place but I do have one issue that I wanted to share with you guys. Maybe if we all say something a change can be made....for the cocktail hour there is a table set up with the liquor on it....it kind of looks a bit cheesy....i wish there was a mini bar that they could roll into the cocktail hour room. I love the bar in the main room as well as the smaller bar in the back room off the cocktail hour room...but I really hate the looks of bottles of liquor randomly placed on a table next to the chaffing dishes. What do you guys think?? or do you think im crazy?

I'm not a huge fan of how it sounds. I havent actually seen it

I haven't actually seen it! I assumed it was more of a bar!!! Does anyone have pictures?

I should have taken a picture of it to show you girls.....I have gone 3 different times right before an actual wedding when the room was all set and all 3 times that is how the liquor is displayed..just one a table...i love the bar in the reception room and the small one off the cocktail hour room...but the big cocktail hour room is where all the guests are going to want drinks!!!! it just looks cheesy...what do you girls think?

I didnt realize this...hmmm i like the outdoor cocktail hour bar cause at least its marble so maybe not look so cheesy with the liqour bottles but to be honest i dont remember what the cocktail hour bar looks like..is it just a table??

I AM OBSESSED WITH RH ROOM!!! UGHH THE BAR AND ROOM IS STUNNING!

yeah so in the actual cocktail hour room...they have a table with the regular linens and the bottles of liquor on top of the table...its just a rectangular table...the only reason i was able to see this is because i went like 30 minutes before a wedding so i was able to see it set up....like i siad the little bar off the cocktail hour room is so nice...im not sure why they cant just get a small wooden roller one or something for the cocktail hour

I'm so curious to see what this looks like.....I went to a wedding at the north ritz almost 2 years ago and it was nice out so they had the outside bar open. SO I never saw the table. I wonder when they are having their next weddig so I can run up there and check it out
