Hello Ladies,
Brooklyn still has a good selection of facilities. One being the Grand Prospect Hall located in Park Slope. I attended an event there in June and I am considering having my wedding there as well. I must say, the place looked stunning and the food was delicious! Regarding the parking situation- there was valet parking within their on-site parking lot. I had a wonderful time that evening!
I'm not sure. I am scheduled to meet with the banquet manager next week so I do not have pricing details as of yet. But, I believe it depends on the total package.

My aunt was married there, and I was part of the bridal party. GPH is amazing - beautiful, elegant, and the food is phenominal. She felt like a princess in their care.
Good Luck.

I had a whole review of it on the '06 Board, but to sum it up:
- Little disappointment, Jigga was more of a 'host' than a 'performer' - he's old and tired I guess - A lot of 'friends' were there - to name a few: The Lox, Kanye (my favorite), Teirra-Marie, Akon, NAS (I called it first baby), T.I., Beanie/Memphis (the whole crew), Diddy, and a few others that I can't recall at the moment.

I was very dissapointed for two reasons:
1 - You are right he was a host instead of a performer. 2 - what he did perform was exactly like his other concerts.
I am used to him wowing and surprising the crowd. There was none of that.
O well I will buy another ticket for the next show anyway.
Did you see Beyonce walk through the crowd? She is so short!

I was in section 101, and at sometime before it started, everyone on the floor section looked to the right, so I assumed that was her.
I think a lot of folks there were really po'd that the concert started an hour late, and it seemed like TI was on forever right?

OMG, I almost fell asleep during TI. The sound system was horrible also. My friend was like J just wanted to buy B something and didnt feel like using his money.

You're in my neck of the woods - how long have you been there? Did you attend school in BR as well?

I'm not in BKLYN anymore but I am at heart!!! You know what they say...You can take the girl out of Bklyn but you can't take the Bklyn out of the girl...sooooo true. I left Bklyn about 1 1/2 years ago but when I think of home I think of Bklyn (mom & dad are still in Sheepshead bay)

Ex Brooklyn girl here too!!! 30 years of my life there!!!
Grew up in Starrett City (now Spring Creek Towers)
I also went to South Shore HS!! Way too easy to cut class and go to Muffin and Puffin!!! I can recall Larry the preaching security guard!
Lived in Borough Park, Sea Gate, Marine Park, Bergen Beach and Mill Basin.
My parents are in Marine Park and my brother is in Mill Basin.
I still go there to stop by L&B Spumoni Gardens and Grimaldis!!! FH and I had our first date at Canteena in Bay Ridge!!
