What Hampton Inn are you using? The one on exit 63 of the LIE?

Yeah, that is a good deal! Thanks! My FH has a lot of relatives coming from Mass. and I know that they will not spend $200 something a night for The Inn at East Wind. Thanks again.

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
I have a lot relatives coming from out of state and overseas. Maybe a total of 40. They wanted to stay for a week so they will rent a 10 bedroom house in the Hamptons. April is off season for the rentals so they got a good deal and they have use of the heated pool, tennis courts and all the amenities. I

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
About the escorting guests thing.... I actually posted this question a few weeks ago because I'm getting married at the Estate this Nov. We're having around 170-200 guests and they recommend that you do placecards for parties over 150. So, as nice of an idea as it is to have the guests personally escorted, a lot of people wrote in and told me that even with 100-150 guests, they felt it took too long. So, we're doing place cards now. Plus, we're going to name our tables, instead of numbering them (we haven't decided what yet, but lots of people do favorite love songs, places they've been together, etc.).

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
Holly,
When I called they said 10-12 people per table.
Katie,
Thanks for the info! That is what I heard too!! We are planning on having 180-200 people and I thought that it might take too long also! Thanks again.

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
I hope you don't mind me adding to this thread, since I am not a East Wind Bride.
But I was there today to meet a vendor and I have to say what a beautiful place. When we were looking we were only shown the Country Gardens (which was nice, but they wouldn't lower the guarantee, so we moved on), but today we were in the big ballrooms. It is elegant and grand.
Good luck to all Eastwind brides!

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
OMG I am coming to this thread so late! I have so many questions and comments! So the matri'd will set up all favors and place cards and toasting glasses, bathroom baskets....everything for you? I am making my own C-pieces...will they do that too? Does the Inn do place cards for you or is it only the gardens? I have a 90 person min. I have one of the smaller rooms in the lower level and the atrium is my cocktail hr. So with that kind of min should I even do place cards? Hmmm. Oh yeah BTW it's Tildas Bakery in Rocky Point that does the cakes for east wind...I found that out. I have to agree about the rooms though...there is no way I could guarentee 10 rooms in a block! Not at that price. I know a few people who would stay there, but not 10. I will give my OOT guests the option. I'm having my wedding on a weekday, so I have the luxury of not having to worry so much about reserving too far in advance. I don't know about the bathrooms in the upsatirs, but the lower level bathroomas are stunning! Chandeliers and HUGE gold mirrors...no attendants though...I'm not sure about grand ballroom weddings though. About the staircase, the Southampton room bride has priority to use it for pics. So luck Southampton room brides...you are #1! Stinks if there is 2 weddings on the same day. Once again...since it's a weekday for me...there will not be any thing going on, so I will get the run of the place! I want outside pics, staircase pics, library pics....the whole works! OK, I'll stop rambling and let some of my questions be answered!

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
my wedding was at the estates 2 weeks ago! i have to say nothing but good things! the matradee patty i could not xspress enough how nice she was exspecially after what happen with my moh and cousin.. she helped me to recompose myself and get back to the party!! as for the seating we had 186 there and all were escorted to the tables ..we had place cards and what they did is set the up at the table they where to be at and it worked out great. as for the children we had about 9 of them and it was fine! you pay 1/2 price up to 6 and then it's full price which we used for the older 3 kids. the pics well they came out great! i am in the middle of still downloading them but as i getthem i will post some that we took out side of the estates! as for pics from the inn and you are at one of the other buildings as long as there is not a wedding going on at the in you will be able too. the baskets for the bathroom basket we only had one which actually we should have had 2 but patty said it was fine because most people go to the bathroom by the bridal suite. did i forget anything if so i will answer also any questions you may have.
