I'm getting married there on SUNDAY!!!!!!! I just cant wait! I havent heard a bad thing about them. I have the favor appointment on Thursday after I pick up my dress! We made our final payment last week. They even gave us our 7th child 1/2 price too,(they told us up to 6 half price). Whooo Hoooo!
PS We also booked at the Hampton Inn. We got the Suite. We wanted to stay at the East Wind but it was tooo expensive for us!

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
No, no honeymoon we cant really afford it after paying for the weddig, and I'm a teacher so its not the best time. I think during the summer we'll go to Niagra Falls or something like that for a little get a way. The honeymoon and the video are the two things I would have liked but we couldnt budget in. We have lots of people doing video though and we can wait till the summer for a honey moon.

Well I am an East Wind Groom. I guess I am one of the rare grooms in that I am just as excited as my bride to be doing all the planning.
We are getting married in Farmingdale and the reception is at the Country Gardens. (Long trip I know, but the two places we loved are just that far apart.)
We took our first dance lessons tonight. Not as bad as I thought. I am excited. Time is seemingly flying by. So many details to finish.

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
Welcome! I just had my reception at the Country Gardens last Sunday. People are still talking about how perfect it was. John will take good care of you. My husband was very involved in the planning too. I love that. You have a lot to look forward to!!!

I am glad to be hearing all these great reviews for East Wind, Just so you know that East Wind's house limo company is on the boards now, Serenity Limos.

I wish we used Serenity. We used Legend. The guys were 45 minutes late to the church and their limo was crap. The girls limo was great and so was the driver. It was like we hired two companies! We had our suspicions but didnt want to loose the deposit. I hear Serenity is good.

We are using Serenity and I have friends who have used them. I have heard all good things. We also found them pretty reasonable.

Re: THE 'OFFICIAL' EAST WIND THREAD!
THE VENDORS ARE HALF PRICE, BUT ONLY FOR 6 PEOPLE. MOST OF THE TIME THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU. KIDS UNDER 3 I THINK ARE FREE AND KIDS UNDER 12 GO FOR 1/2 PRICE. BUT CALL YOUR BANQUET MANAGER FOR SPECIFICS. AND LOOK ON YOUR CONTACT, IT IS IN REALLY SMALL PRINT. !!!

Are you making menus for your wedding? If you are (or have) how did you display them on the table? Thanks!

We didnt make menues. I put what we were having on the website and then the waitress just told the people the choices and they picked what they wanted. :)

I'm so glad that someone wrote about eastwind I will be going there shortly to book my wedding there it was the first place I saw and fell in love with it.I would like to have it at the cottage I like the idea of having all three room's for cocktail hr and how they sit you down one by one that is so elegant.does anyone have any other tip's I should know about there?
