Thought I would bump the East Wind....havent seen the thread in a while. Just wanted to say that they will be doing my menus for me...but does anyone know how they set them up??

I also had such a hard time blocking rooms....hopefully some open up so far they are all (except 6) booked!!

We are getting married in the south hampton ball room. I am so excited! Are you girls planning on making menus? I am undecided? What is the deal about placecards? If they escourt you to your seat how do they know where you are supposed to be sitting? I am confused?

My cousin got married here this weekend and it was great, nice service good food very beautiful scenery, just an overall really nice wedding.

Hey everyone...I went to a wedding yesterday at The Estate at East Wind...I was totally impressed!! I am so glad I am getting married there!!! The food was incredible and the service was fabulous!!! It is decorated beautifully for Christmas and I am so excited to be getting married this time next year!!!

I am an Eastwind Bride. I did not have place cards. I was nervous about not having them but after my wedding people are still raving about everything. I have had no complaints just compememts. The bakery they use is The Rolling Pin in Setauket. My cake was amazing looking and tasted great.

Eastwind brides have nothing to worry about. Trust me!

They will do personalized (escorted) seating at the Country Gardens too. Its included, but I opted to do placecards since I already had the frames for them.

No matter what room you have it at, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!! Mine was at the Gardens, and the Maitre D was John, and he was THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a fun thread to run through and see all the positive points re: East Wind. I can't wait until next year

At the moment, we are not doing placecards since Kevin, the Maitre'd mentioned that we do not need them b/c they escort the guests. He explained that prior to the day( I believe when you give your final head count), you fill out a seating chart that shows where everyone sits, which is then distributed to the staff so they can escort your guests.

At the wedding I went to on Saturday, I loved how you were escorted to your seat!!! It was very classy!!! I can't wait to get married there next year!!!

I just saw your post and recognized your picture! One of the ladies that works with me was at your wedding and brought in the pictures. She said it was absolutely beautiful and East Wind was wonderful!

Wow, it was a blast getting this post in my e-mail box. I had forgotten I subscribed to it. The East Wind ROCKS!!!! I have never been disappointed with their service. Not at my wedding or any other wedding I went to there. My sister in law is even having the babies christening party at the restaurant. Good luck with all your planning! SAVOR EVERY MOMENT!!

For all the east wind brides you will not be disappointed in anyway!!! I got married there on Feb 29, 2004 and loved it so much that I can't wait to have a renewal of my vows to go back!!! My matron was so good and I could not thank her anymore then I have! Sally was the best and helped me in every way! There really are no worries on your wedding day! Good luck to all those who get married there! You will never regret it!
