Ladies, let's help each other plan our HMs.
Since we all are mainly going to the same islands (I'm going to Maui and Kauai, and I know lots are too- also Oahu is popular among us) let's post the activites/tours that we find interesting so we can help each other.

has anyone done the downhill bike tour in Maui? we're doing it but im a little scared...

We did it!!!!!

It is one of the best experiences!!!!

The worst part is getting up @ 1:45am for the pickup but watching the sunrise is amazing and the bike is all downhill- no effort needed just brake when necessary. IMO- DO IT!

Just wondering if that makes sense rather than go up and down on planes?

Any good websites for hawaiian resorts....

just wondering if they ranked them anywhere and if they have a list of how they differ?

Definitely check out tripadvisor.com.
I looked into the cruise. Most reviews were not too good. People complained because it is a 10 day cruise and 4 days you are out at sea. They also didn't like that you didn't have more than one day on the island and something about the dining style on the ship.

It all depends what you are looking for on your honeymoon. Most people go to oahu to see pearl harbor and stay for a short time because the tourist area is city-like. Maui has a lot of attractions with that island feeling and kauai is more remote.

I'm going to Hawaii - so far I only know I'm going to Maui, Kaui & maybe spending a day in Oahu to see Pearl Harbor

wow i just read this entire thread!

i'm already booked for 6 nighs in maui, then 6 nights big island, and 2 nights in oahu. after reading the board i'm wondering if we shouldn't do 2 nights in oahu and just take a day tour. i wouldn't go at all but fh wants to do pearl harbor. and kaui sounds so great. any advice?

I would definitely go to kauai. We really enjoyed it there and the Hyatt Regency in Kauai was my favorite hotel. It is realxing and there are still things to do.

I also highly recommend that when you are Maui going to the Feast at Lele. One of the best nights spent in Maui. They have a website too.

Oh yeah one more thing. Do not do the road to Hana.... Unless you are very adventurous and like hiking. You need those spiny socks and a stick. We used the Maui revealed book and were really psyched to find the waterfalls etc... but the trails are very steep at times. Not to mention slippery.

This is such a great thread- thanks for posting it! We're going to Maui and Kuaui (I know I spelled that wrong!), and we can't decide between our third island- either the big island or Oahu. Anyone have any thoughts as to which is better? We want to see PEarl Harbor, but if we don't stay in Oahu, we figure we'll do a day trip there.
