Re: The Official Homeowners Thread
We bought a house last September and have been doing non stop work to it since we closed! Every room needs to be redone! So far we have the dining room, livingroom, den, basement, and masterbedroom done! Next is the kitchen and the remaining 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Just have to take is one room at a time!
We bought the house in March. FH's brothers live there with us. There is an apt. upstairs and we are in the process of putting one in the basement. We have the first floor. This way we can still save money for another year or so after the wedding. We are going to rent out the basement apt. and convert the house back into a one family so we can put the kids rooms upstairs.

Closed on a 4 bedroom house in Sayville in April - or maybe early May? Owe a ton of friggin' money.
We have cleared the mess from the backyard, built a playhouse with a rockwall and a slide onto the swingset. Purchased a puppy. Painted the bedrooms, put in AC, bought new kitchen appliances, a new TV, new dining room set, new coffee table, new armoire, new bookshelves, new sectional sofa and some light fixtures that we have put up.
We still have to paint the kitchen, the work out room, the office and the basement. We have to complete the art studio, put up pocket doors in the laundry room, do the star stencils in the boys room, buy artwork, buy window treatments, open up the space between the kitchen and the living room, get someone in to inspect the fireplace, replace our ugly *** kitchen cabinets, get better flooring in the kitchen, fix up the Master bath.
And learn to budget better.

Re: The Official Homeowners Thread
We have been really searching for a house for about 5 months now. It is so frustrating-but we are hoping to find something soon and buy this winter. Congrats to all of you ladies who found your homes!
