I have already had to make hints like... : the well is dry'.. 'theres no more money left for guests'''>. Its ridiculous.. its like its her show! ERRRR and it's getting annoying we are inviting 185 which was already higher than what fh and I could afford.. I told FH he's gonna have to talk to her if it continues!

I am 100% Italian and FH is 100% Greek so we are having my big fat Geek Italian wedding…. We have 23 people in the BP and the guest list is over 400 people


Funny thing is, even though i feel like basjing my head against the wall, I am loving every minute of it!!

FH and I HAVE TO invite all our grandparents 1st cousins because they just go to everything and I barely know them!!!! Our list is 349 people (cut off age 16) 9 BM's 1 Jr BM, my MOH, 3 FG's, Best Man, 9 Ushers, 1 Jr Usher, Ring Bearer.. Total:26 People!!!! Mostly family! OMG and the food for the reception!!! We had to pay an extra $10 a person for deluxe menu! My mom says 'It's just not enough food Jules, you have to do Deluxe.' My Aunt Annie said she was going to put cans of corn in my wishing well (old old italian trad.) and my grandparents said theat everyone will be highly offended if we don't play the Che La Luna and the tallentalla (cant spell that).. Lots of Sinatra and Dean Martin... OMG I cant take it!!! FH and I are entering to the Rocky theme from Family request and BP is entering to Eye of the Tiger (but we changed it to the techno verson!!) All these people, barely know them and I SURE AS HELL cant spell their LAST NAMES for my invites!!!!

Oh one more thing... I noticed a lot of you ladies have a big PB! At one point I thought that I was the only one!!! But I had to put all those people!

PS - 3 days after we were engaged, FMIL handed us a guest list of over 100 people ... we are looking at inviting 250 total

I'm Italian, surprisingly I have a small guest list of family it is mostly friends.
FH is Puerto Rican.

I'm 1/2 Italian, and FH is Sicilian born! I've got 320 on the list so far, and last night there was discussion of adding 17 more. Cousins of someone's cousins. My side is only 110 - the rest is FH's!!!

And that DOESN'T include the list of people in Italy. We're also printing up invitations in Italian, AND getting bombonierre for the people who don't come but send gifts.

I just hope the hall has enough food!

Hello all!!! I am a 100% Italian Bride marrying a 100% Italian Groom...the end result, a whole lot of people involved in everything!!! Guest list is around 280 which was cut down from 300 and BP is 32 people!

oh i feel so much better now!! we are at 270 and its still growing... the BP is 25!! FH is 100% italian, i'm not but i guess growing up in bensonhurst has worn off on me.

I can't believe I never saw this thread. I am right there with you girls Guest List 350 BP 23 (with kids).

My FMIL and I had the Jordan Almond 'discussion' this past weekend. It ended with 'I am allergic we are not having them!'

Im 100% Italian but FH is Irish..he's actually got more on his list than me!!!

BUT we do have 24 people in the bridal party and Jordan Almonds were a must!!

I can't believe I missed this thread.

419 invited and my dad had my uncle order 25 more invites because he forgot some people!

Well....100% Italiana here...my parents were both born in Italy and came here in the 70s from Calabria. FH is 2nd generation Sicilian.

I have 6 people coming from Italy (my mom has all of here family still there). Best part they are staying at my parents house for 1 month!

This is a really funny post!

I am 1/2 Italian 1/2 Scottish. Funny thing is I have 16 first cousins invited on my dad's side (scottish side). FH is full Italian and together we have 298 on the guest list!!!!

BP is small, 3 girls, 3 guys...I couldnt do the whole 20 person BP thing...just gets too expenive and everyone understood!
