skylight is niceeeee!!! i love the room as well..
i love all the room.. i just really really love JT!!
how would it work out if i want to get married there?
i love the ceremony set up soo much
Hmmm they might be able to swing it, since you'd be in a different room for the CH anyway. They could turn the room over during CH. But if not, there's always the Penthouse Room, too, which is really nice. They even have uplighting in the Penthouse Room. I'm just not sure what the minimum is for that one.

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
We're actually having our reception in the Oak room. We're having a smaller wedding...100-110 so that room is perfect. We liked it because it's a more intimate setting for us.

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
We're in the Dome room we had to guarantee 175 for a Friday night. If your guest list continues to grow, maybe that's something you can swing (I've also heard that sometimes you can get them to bump your minimum down). As a sidenote in regards to an earlier post: What's a shot luge????? Sounds like fun but I'm clueless!!! lol sorry!

Hey ladies... just a few quick questions?
Since I feel like i booked with them so long ago, I don't remember if JT provided place cards for us to fill out - and if they make us menus....
I know some of the halls i saw did and others didnt. TIA!![]()
They definitely make menus, but I'm not sure about the place cards. It's been awhile since I've called them. I've been compiling a list of questions to ask so I can get them all answered in one shot.
yes they provide place cards that you just need to fill in the names and table number. i got them from jt a few weeks back.
here is a pic of their menus and the place cards are very standard, ill try to take a pic though and post it

Oh I didn't realize we get a letter to finalize the menu. I thought we had to call to make an appointment! When do you do the cake testing and how do you go about that? Do you call the bakery directly or go through JT?

I love this thread, we definitely need to keep it going! Lorin...you must be so excited. Your wedding day will be here in no time! I can't wait to see your review.
It's good to know that JT provides placecards and menus. It's not really something I wanted to budget for!
For gals using hotels, where did you book or are planning to book your hotel block?

So cool! Thank you so much for posting!! I'd still like to do my own menus, but I'm probably just going to use their escort cards. And even the menus I might just say screw it and use theirs. LOL!

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
yeah i dont love the color of the menus so im thinking of doing my own but like you said, i might say screw it and just use them.they dont really give info about the cake tasting, i guess they do at the menu choosing but i just took it upon myself to call dortonis to set it up. they were really nice and it was no issue at all.
yeah, they send a letter but i will be calling if i dont get it soon. actually im gonna call right now
who is doing linens btw?
eta: are most of us on this thread 2010 brides?

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
I am doing linen's but purchasing them. They were cheaper than renting themI am also having menu's made (basic ones). They were like $0.30 a piece through 'her' so worth it in my opinion

you're right, i didnt realize that was her price and i think im only doing 2 a table so that would be super cheap. if you're doing one per person, where are you putting them since the first course is already on the plate? by the napkin?

The food is already on the plate when they walk into the reception room? I guess that's a good thing for me since the reception starts so late and I'm more than sure guests will be hungry. I guess I'll put them by the napkins.
I'm going to purchase linens, too. It's not worth renting them and the JT ones are just too busy for what I want to do.

yup i know for sure that i heard somewhere on here that the first course is on the plate (ive seen this at plenty of other receptions, it might sound weird but its not at all actually when you get in there.
ive actually only seen jt's old linens not the new ones (well like a year old i think). anyone have a pic?
also, ive never seen the skylight room in person when the lights are dimmed, flowers set up and everything. has anyone?
i once saw it set up during the day for a sweet sixteen but that definately doesnt compare

It sounds weird, but honestly, it makes sense and I'm fine with that! I think it'll get guests to their seats faster and keep them there for the entrance of the bride/groom and BP!
I've only ever seen the SR set up for a ceremony or a sweet 16 during the day. You're in the Skylight Room, too? Finally a room twin! Everyone seems to be in the penthouse!

I think I am going to do one every other seat so they can put it between them.
