im so excited to see the outside done.. i've only seen the amazing inside.... i have my final meeting with them on July 20th.. so ill be sure to take tons of pics for you girls

Thanks everyone. I have my fingers crossed for both of us too! I am going for my final on 7/18. I will try to take some pics to show you guys too. In the meantime if you have any questions feel free to ask. I only have 15 days. I am getting so nervous. I can't even sleep!

Hey ladies! It's been a while since I've been on the thread and I've been catching up on some reading :) Sounds like the pool situation remains unresolved but I'm curious to hear back from the brides recently married!
I have been meaning to add some photos from my last visit early May. What I can say is that I am so pleased with the progress (although disappointed that they had not completed some of the outdoor renovations in time for the May brides). They definitely will not have the standard ballroom chairs that I love but I'll find a way to get around it
Check out my album and forgive the quality of my photos. I'm actually a photographer (http://leslielana.com -- quick plug hehe) but I just took these quick snaps because it was late and because I didn't want to hold them up as it seemed everyone was ready to go home. Anyway, the purpose was to share with you all But I get the feeling you all will be there right along with me on July 29th! I can't wait for the fooood!

..the other night my mom and I were on our way out to dinner. We decided to stop by Surf Club and OMG.. I don't want to 'over-excite' anyone but it was GORGEOUS!!! I looked all over Long Island and this place took my breath away .. my BM told me most rennovations would be totally done in about 2 weeks..,. so exciting!!! I am sooooooooooo happy to be getting married here!! whoo hoo!

The bridal show starts at 7 or 7:30 and ends at 9! I will be there =)

So i went for my menu meeting today... ill start with the positives
chris (who takes care of the final meetings) was very nice.. we spoke to the chef again (he is from italy and my aunt and him got along the first time we went up there.. lol) he is also very nice... the inside looks amazing.. it was all set up and it look beautiful.. the menu is going to be amazing and i know the food will be terrific.. so i'm excited about that..
however,
the fountain is not in yet and will not be in in time for my wedding i'm HIGHLY annoyed about this b/c they promised promised promised it would be done by now... all they kept saying was 'it was beyond our control' and sounded like they didn't care.. you would think they would lower the $$ or throw something in.. but no.. the driveway is not done , so when people drive in its like ehhhh... the grass outside by the cocktail hour looks dead... and lastly there were about 50 people in the pool!! they say that won't be a problem b/c it closes by 6pm (which is when my cocktail hour is) but its still annoying b/c if we go early to take pics we need to stay away from that entire area
overall im just a little upset about everything that has happened.. i know my wedding will still be amazing, the inside is gorgeous and the food will be spectacular.. i just wish i knew this before i booked.. instead of them promising up and down that it wouldl be done
oh well

I totally know what you mean. I went to make my final payment on Saturday and there were a ton of people in the pool. My ceremony is outside at 5:30 which means my guests, all dressed up, are going to be walking by the pool area with people in bathing suits and kids splashing around in the pool. I wish that they will be gone by then but if not someone needs to tell them to be quiet. I am so upset over this. I am also pissed about the driveway and the beautiful fountain which was supposed to be there by now. I really wanted to take pics by it. I can't stand that there is a bulldozer in the parking lot as well. Honestly, I feel like a was fed a bunch of BS and promises when we booked and now no one cares. I just hope it all works out. I am beginning to freak. I only have 5 more days to go.

This whole pool thing is really messed up. I understand that they need to do it, for whatever reason it was... something about the town made them do it or whatever... but regardless, I think they should close earlier for the weddings. I really think its a little unfair that they didn't even tell us this before we signed the contract. Regardless, the place is beautiful, but it would be nice if they compenstated that somehow..
