Hey Girls!
I noticed there were tons of questions flying around about the Surf Club in New Rochelle, so lets all help each other!

Who was everyones BM at SC and did you like who you had? I know sometimes there are better ppl to wheel and deal with....just curious what you girls think....

I am working with Jamie who is the best. He really is so passionate about the Surf Club and was so proud of the renovations. Plus he really does try to accom. my Fh and I. If you want to check out sc, make an appt. with him.

We are working with Carlo - also fantastic. He took me and FH to a nice italian dinner in Manhattan to discuss the RH contract... always really accomodating

We had Jamie who was FANTASTIC... carlos is also very good (we met with him once).. and chris (who you will deal with the month before the wedding) is also very nice.... so i dont really think you can go wrong with any of them

btw.. i know its overdue.. but my review is almost done and i should be posting it soon

Ladies, please let me know what your thoughts are on the necessity of having a DOC for a wedding at the Surf Club...

Is the BM really good at handling everything or should I hire a DOC? When we met with Carlo he said the coordinators always get in their way.

But who takes care of small things like setting up the place card tables and petal cones and stuff? Would the florist do that?

You have to do what make you happy. I love my DOC and would be very lost that day without her. The BM is great and all but they are not there with you in the am or with you when a vendor doesn't do what its suppose too. IMO.

surf club set up EVERYTHING for me and it all came out perfect!! i wouldn't worry.... i just gave them a list of what i wanted and where

Not sure about the lighting. Radission is really ghetto, my guests are staying at Renaissance Westchester and we're providing a shuttle.

also, how much flexibility do you have in choosing the design of your cake?

For the cake they have a book of them and 6 are included in the price and all others are more money

Does anyone know how much it costs for the cigar roller thing at the end of the night? Past brides - did you do it/was it worth it?

Honestly, my DOC suggested to just have a table with them already laid out. Men esp. appreciate it, and its a nice touch. And you save $$$ doing it that way.
