Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
I think that the linens we rented were totally worth it. It added to the ambiance. I had a vision of what I wanted and it worked out beautifully. I was breathless when I saw the room. I say if it is in your budget go for it. We rented mocha pintuck tablecloths and had watermelon napkins. I attached some pictures so you can see.
I don't know how to attach a pic so I will add to my album.

Past Surf Club brides - how does the rehearsal work? Do they let you come the night before with the bridal party and officiant?

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
We did the rehearsal on Thursday because they had a wedding on Friday. (Ours was Saturday) Our coordinator, bridal party, parents and officiant were in attendance. Also, they had an event on Thursday night and it was raining so we had the rehearsal in the upstairs ballroom. Our DOC and maitre'd conducted it.

Hi. There is a pic of the outside ceremony set up in my wedding day album. If you need any other pics let me know and I will try to find them.

Stupid question, but is it windy?

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
Not a stupid question at all. It was windy bc it is right on the water but I didn't find it to be terrible. Maybe I got lucky. Actually, this pic was taken before they put down the aisle runner and petals. They waited for the last minute because they didn't want the wind to move it around too much. Hope this helps.

For those of you who worked with Danny at westchester floral, when did you go for your CP sample? Like how many months?

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
I actually just asked them the same question and they told me 1.5-2 months prior to date. We're currently having major fights with them about the rehearsal date/time :(
Does anyone have a hair person recommendation?

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
We went to Westchester Floral to see a sample in the beginning of June. Our wedding was on 7/25. As far as a tasting we were told that they do not do tastings. They said we could come when they were having a wedding and sit in their office and they would serve us what the weeding was having. This sounded good but as time went on it became unimportant to us. Plus it just seemed weird. Hope this helps.

Yea, I don't think they have tasting because they keep telling us just to go to their Bridal Show. That they will have some food there.
For Stef's wedding it wasn't windy at all! It was low tide also. It didn't smell at all which it normally does during low tide.

Praise the lord for that man. B.c if it were windy with low tide that would really really make me so annoyed lol.

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
about the tasting thing... just ask you're banquet manager. Jamie arranged for us to have a quick tasting the day we booked b/c food is VERY important to both families. There was an event going on that day so they shared with us. The food btw is amazing. Every last bit of it. And when we went I was very hung over and it still managed to be amazing!

Re: ****The Official Surf Club Thread****
Not sure if any of you saw this post on the main thread but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing this for each other...
---------- I was reading a bridal magazine that randomly shipped to my house and I came across a really interesting idea. There was an article on how to save some money and one of them was a labor swap. You make an agreement with another bride to swap help at each others wedding.
For example ... I wanted to hire someone to go to my RH and set up my centerpieces, seating card table and favors, maybe some other random things. If someone wanted to help me out I would then be available to help with their wedding with whatever they would need.
The article posted two websites but I didn't really like them so I figured maybe I would bring it up to all the lovely LIW girls to see if it is something people would be interested in. I personally would trust my wedding setup more with someone who knew how important it was for the wedding to be as beautiful as it can be than leave it in the hands of the staff at the RH who won't give a crap on how things look. Plus you save money! So if anyone is interested please let me know.
