Do you think your In-Laws or Future-in-Laws know the real you? Do they really know your likes, dislikes, hobbies, sensibilities etc?
This is not whether your in-laws like you, it's do they know you?

My ILs know things about me - my likes and dislikes, etc..the surface things. However, I don't feel like they really know me, and I probably haven't really let them...it takes a lot for me to let someone know the real me.
They make a lot of generalizations...for example, I don't like chocolate as much as other people. They take this to mean that I hate all chocolate. Every time it comes up, I go, 'i don't like chocolate ice cream, plain solid chocolate, or cake, but I do like fudge, brownies, chocolate with nuts, etc.' On valentines day, my MIL gives everyone chocolate and gives me jelly bellies, 'since you don't like chocolate.' Meanwhile, I was drooling over my SIL's ferrero rochers!!!
My older SIL knows i like dolphins, so she thinks I like every single thing with a dolphin on it.
I do not think they understand how I react to things or what makes me tick. I find it very hard to share this with them.

Mine have an idea of who I am, but I try to be nice to them. They are very sensitive.

my fil's definelty know the real me. i fight with his brothers like they are my own. i call them mom and dad. i've shown them my true colors b/c at this point, i've got nothing to hide

Yes My inlaws know the real me i actually call them Mom and Dad. after a couple of months of dating DH thats when i started calling them that i feel very close to my inlaws.

My inlaws definitely know the real me.
My personality is 'I'll do anything for you in the world, but don't ever try to push me around.'
