the riviera help!!

hey ladies, so i just got a awesome quote to the riviera that id be so stupid if i pass it up. ( less than $70 per person ) my question to you is has anybody been here or had a wedding here? i have so many questions.

1. hows the food?
2. how is the decor?
3. how is the cocktail hour ( my favorite part of every wedding )
4. is it worth the money?

the banquet manager is including cake, open bar, viennese hour and centerpieces.
so all we will be paying for is really the food.

i went to the watermill recently fell in love but I'm not in love with the prices that was thrown at me. and they really didnt include much. which is a shame b.c i really had my heart set on it. we are still tossed up between the both. if anybody has any information that i can narrow down our decision would be much appreciate it.

the riviera help!!

Does the $70 include taxes and any fees? If not, what is the total cost after all of that? We are getting married at the Watermill and we guaranteed 100 people and we are paying below $100pp with everything included even a Viennese hour.

I went to a wedding there years ago. It is a nice place but I feel that it can be tiny depending on how any people you are having. The decor is very rustic with exposed beans and all plus being on the water is nice too.

the riviera help!!

When I was planning I was between the Watermill and the Riviera. I think I would've been happy with either one, but we went with Watermill. We actually were able to negotiate with Watermill to get them to match the price of Riviera. This was before Watermill had started all their renovations though...

the riviera help!!

I was married at the riviera and it was the most amazing day. Cocktail hour is insane. So much delicious food. The flower centerpieces I upgraded as they were to basic. I paid 50 a table extra. The cake was perfect. Just be sure to add tax and 20 percent administration fee.

Also we had 125 people. I wouldn't put over 175 in there more ideally not more then 150. They absolutely were amazing though. Not one complaint.

Re: the riviera help!!

thats the only issue I'm having. so far i have 150 but i know there will be about 200 people. and when i went there its a nice size room but I'm not sure how all those people will fit... the woman that went over everything with me said it can hold up to 250 people. but it looks a little tight. i don't want anyone stepping on each other toes or eating with there backs agents each other.. I'm gonna go back to watermill to see what they can offer. I'm hoping they will hook me up with something.

I checked it out also - and it was beautiful and FH loved it but it was way too small!!! the cocktail room was TINY!!! We are having 200 people and I said no way! I can only see 200 if half your party is outside the entire wedding. I WISHED it was bigger!
