Even if you think the price is good, act like it's not! So say they quoted you $90++, I would say, I really wanted to be at $80++, they will probably meet you in the middle somewhere....its worth a shot. I know they do offer a ton of stuff, but take whatever you can get!! Ask them to upgrade one of your entrees to filet mignon....they did that for me. They also threw in an extra pasta station at cocktail hour and a mashed potato bar. I also got they chocolate fountain at no charge too. They wont wave the tax because we tried to pay all up front in cash and they still said no.
I brought my mom (sicilian) and my FMIL (Puerto Rican) and I pretty much didn't have to say a word lol. The are two tough ladies but they got the job done!
Good Luck!!

I booked my wedding there recently. This was the only place I looked at actually. I loved it. I got quoted for $84/pp and they threw in the chocolate fountain, cake, and espresso bar :)

I was quoted $69 because we are doing a sunday in august and we have only met once so I am nervous to go back and try and get extras. I'm only interested in what I think would be expensive extras (raw bar, sushi bar, and an extra half hour for cocktail) wondering if they would work with me! but im nervous.@bk101704 did you do a food tasting? we've been having a hard time planning one. I wish we could have booked already because we're so in love with it but we can't until after the holiday madness!

I did get to do a food tasting. It was spur of the moment actually. I went in just to look at the place and after we explained how I lived out of town, the woman set me, my mom, mother-in-law, and aunt up with a food tasting on the spot. I was happy with mostly everything except one chicken dish (the exact one escapes my memory). All in all though I was happy with the selections and I ended up putting my deposit down that same day :)

My sister got married at the riviera September of 2011.. She had an amazing day but as MOH I quickly noticed all the things that went wrong..I was of course a little nervous things wouldn't go as planned but they told me not to worry, that they would take care of everything...
We had bubbles for guests to blow after the ceremony that the riviera placed at the entrance to the front door where no one saw them since the ceremony was outside in the back. No one took the bubbles and the people there failed to give them out, after telling us they would take care of everything. When I realized later and asked them if they could be passed out for guests to use for the entrances, they told me no because it was a safety hazard.
My father later complained that the bathrooms weren't being taken care of.
A lot of the guests told me, not my sister the bride, that the food was dry and that they had had much better.
And my sister ordered a cake through the rivieras bakery, since it was offered in the price. We went to the bakery and did a huge cake tasting and picked different flavors for each tier and we were so excited. When they passed out the cake at the wedding, it was NOT what we had picked! They gave out plain white cake. When I told my sister about this later, she realized they never gave her the leftover cake, just the top layer. When she called them to ask about it, they said she couldn't have it. She also left some gifts there that they claimed were never found.
All in all, I dreamed of having my future wedding there someday, because th place is physically beautiful, but after the experience we had, and as a newly engaged bride, I wouldn't dream of it. :(
