The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

I was recently on the Fox Hollow site and noticed they recently added a new room/venue...has anyone visited recently and viewed this room?? Any reviews, info or pics on it would be appreciated...

I am going back and forth whether I should visit Fox Hollow in person...I'm not sure if it has what I am looking for in terms of decor, and ambiance according to the pics on their site...anything would help, thanks!

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

It's on their website. It's a full room view, but it's currently under construction, so I doubt they'll let you see it right now. I hear that it will have a bridal suite and can hold less people than the Garden Terrace, but more than the Winter Garden Pavillion. If you have Fox Hollow questions, feel free to ask! There are a lot of threads on it too.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

I am booked in the new room. It is not built yet. The stuff on the website is just a computer image of what they are planning. It is supposed to be done around March.
To be honest, we had no intention of booking there but once we got there we were very impressed with everything and liked the idea of being in a room that none of our family & friends have been to before.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

Wow! So you booked the room w/o even seeing it first?! Did they show you more pics or videos not on the site? I would love to know what made you take that chance? Thanks!

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

HI!

I just booked the new room yesterday! Part of it is built, and we were shown it. We also saw part of the cocktail hour room that was built, which they are currently using.

It will hold i think 180, and if you book now, you will get pre-constructing pricing. We spoke with Dave and he was very helpful.

I love that the room is all hard wood floors and it will have french doors that open up to a garden view on one side of the room-- so pretty!

good luck!

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

Just out of curiosity, did you ladies get a lower plate price or some extras thrown in for booking a room that hasn't even been built yet?

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

When we booked it all they had were a few artist renderings of the plans for the room. It was hard to book something we couldn't see but we really liked the rest of the place and the service we got and that sold uson it. They really treated us well and we were impressed with the whole process. We did get pre-construction pricing which also helped us make the decision.
If you want any more info feel free to PM me.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

cant hurt to check it out especially because there are so many venues right around there on or by jericho turnpike it might be worth it to pop in. thats what i did i only went there to appease my mom i was nearly 100% set on a different venue and my mom had me go with her to fox hollow at the last minuite becuase she remembered loving it from years earlier. and i fell absolutely in love with it. you can never tell how your going to feel about a place till you walk through it so if your curious it cant hurt to look in person

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

We got pre construction pricing, which I think is one par with the regular pricing in other rooms.

We were originally going to do the Winter Garden Room, and then I asked about the Somerly--they offered us the same deal we were going to get with the WG room.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

Hello, Ive been looking for a venue and have not found anything I loved yet. My best friend and sister both got married at the fox hollow so I didnt want to go there but I see they are building a new building. Is it completely seperate or just an addition to the hall they already have? If you don't mind, how much are they giving per person right now with the preconstruction price?
Thanks for you help!

They quoted me the same rate as if you choose a pre-exisiting room. We were looking at Friday night in December and it was $75 pp with a min of 100.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

great price! Thanks. I made an appt. to go look at it. He said that it's a private entrance so the other weddings wouldn't be using it and you wouldnt see anyone from the other parties. Is that true? The cocktail room, ballroom and bridal suite are all seperate? My thing is that I dont want any of my guests running into other parties guests. I've been looking at one wedding venues but no luck.

Re: The Somerley @ The Fox Hollow???

I am going there on Thurs to book my wedding. I was wondering what they included in some of your packages so I know what to ask for. I feel like when I went to look they didn't throw a lot in compared to other places. Also did anyone use any of their vendors and your thoughts.. Thanks so much!!!
