The surf club...

OMG we went to see it today. Even though we were only able to peek into the reception halls because they had weddings going on. We have a new front runner in our quest for halls!!!

Also went to Bridgeview Yacht club and although it was nice it wasn't what we were looking for.

It's in New Rochelle (off I-95). We don't mind going out that far because FH is from NJ and a lot of his fam will be coming from there. So the location is kind of the in between of LI and NJ.

We drove past The Glen Island Harbor club, but they don't have a private beach there. The price they quoted us was more then The Surf Club and to me having the beach access is key, so I don't think it is worth going there (plus they don't do weekend appts which is hard for us being so far away).
Are there any other places along there?

My mothers cousin got married there a few years ago and everyone said it was BEAUTIFUL (I wasn't invited so I can't give you my personal opinion)..but I've looked at pictures online and its def on my list of places to visit.

Two more places on the Davenport Strip from my list are:
Greentree Country Club
&
VIP Country Club

YEah thats why we looked. I want to get married on the beach or at least have access to one to take pics on. This weekend we're going to Carltun on the Bay and The Crescent Beach club and then we'll make a decision. However both of those places are about $35 more per person, so we're really leaning towards the Surf club.
