Now that I'm past the six-month mark, I'm wondering when I should schedule my tasting to figure out what exactly I want on the menu for the reception. I would imagine sometime soon???

i did mine when i was looking at all the places. i'm going to schedule an appointment with my banquet manager the day that pete & i are to give him our decisions so that we are fresh in thought & taste!

I scheduled mine a year before my wedding. If I need a 2nd to decide what I want on my menu I get one.

We did tastings when we were looking at places. I did not want to put money on a place with out tasting the food first.

Mine is about 4 months prior to the wedding. I won't have to decide on my menu until 6 weeks before though.

Doing ours this weekend, in fact! Wedding is July 6. We're actually driving up from DC with FILs for it. Yikes!! Wish me luck!

We're doing ours in early May. Wedding day is June 1.
We didn't do a tasting before we booked because all we heard was how good the food was from other people.

We did ours before we booked but our hall knew we were serious about the place since we kept coming back with different people to see the place.It was good so we booked.
