Re: THE (TEMPORARY) OFFICIAL RECIPE THREAD!
Okay, my turn!
Cinnamon Monkey Balls
4 cans Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 sticks butter
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Cut all biscuits in quarters
In a ziplock bag, combine white sugar and cinnamon. Put 3 or 4 biscuit pieces at a time in the baggie and shake well to coat. Put coated biscuits in a well greased bundt pan.
Put butter and brown sugar in a microwave safe bowl, and nuke until the butter melts. Whisk until 1 smooth consistancy. Pour over the biscuits in the bundt pan.
Bake for 40 minutes at 325.
Cool for 5 minutes and flip bundt pan over onto a plate. Serve warm. No need to cut, just break off the 'balls'!

Re: THE (TEMPORARY) OFFICIAL RECIPE THREAD!
Suzanne, thank you for reminding me of icebox cake. My mom used to make it all of the time! It's been years...maybe I'll make one for old time's sake. Here's a very easy cookie recipe-one of my nieces' and nephews' favorites:
Olivia's pinwheels
Preheat oven to 400F. Lightly butter 2 heavy large baking sheets.
Roll out a thawed sheet of puff pastry (the kind you buy in the frozen section) on a lightly floured surface.
Trim edges to form a neat rectangle.
Cut the rectangle into approx. 3 inch squares. Using a sharp knife, make a diagonal cut from each corner of one 3in square. Cut towards the center, but do not cut through the center.
To form a pinwheel, fold ever other point of puff pastry towards the center of the square, pressing to adhere.
Repeat with remaining 3in squares.
Brush each with an egg glaze (1 beaten egg). Sprinkly with sugar. Place a 1/2 tsp of jam (any kind) in center of each.
Bake til golden and puffed, about 10-12 minutes. Be careful not to burn-the pastry is very delicate.
Remove with a metal spatula, cool on a wire rack.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
