Last time I went with my MOH to the victoria's secret semi-annual sale.
We were in there for awhile, looking through all the bins and what not to find our sizes. For the 1/2 hour we were there, there must have been about 8 pre-teens in the store.
While we were paying, this little girl who looked liked she was 10 was buying a leopard print push up bra.
The girl then told the cashier that it was for her bat mitzvah and her theme was - VICTORIAS SECRET.
When I was 12, I was wearing hanes her way and training bras, not victoria's secret. I don't think I'd even be allowed to wear sexy underwear at that age!!
Whats wrong with the world today?

ITA! I would be killed if my mother saw that in the Laundry!! I feel like today SOME parents just don't care anymore. They want to be their children's friend and not their parent. JMO!

Kids today see all the Poeple on tv looking like sl*ts...then add in the parents that dont care.
And thats what you get.

Last time i was by my 15 year old cousins house i saw her laundry on her bed...And let me say she wears sexier stuff than i do!!! SHE IS 15!!!!!!!! 15!!!!!!!

Re: the times are definatly changing.
Just to add- when I was that age, I had NO desire to wear sexy underwear or low cut shirts or short skirts. I was happy with oversized looney toon shirts and leggings. I freakin had a blossom hat and overalls.
My sister, is in my middle school and refuses to wear anything not 'name brand'. Wont even wear anything from target

Re: the times are definatly changing.
seriously, they're crazy in middle school...once my sister's 'best friend' found out she had a shirt or something from walmart and made fun of her for it. My sister wouldn't let my mom get her clothes from walmart anymore.

Re: the times are definatly changing.
i think the best is when the 12 year olds who cant take care of their stuff want Uggs and all that stuff, not the knockoffs the real stuff....They wear it a week, trash it, then want a new one...

Re: the times are definatly changing.
But think of this...When we all have kids we are going to raise them the way we were raised...With morals and decency lol We all see whats wrong with 12 year olds today and we are going to try to stop that with our own kids (at least i know that how shawn and i are planning on doing things...)

I guess I really can't say much on this subject. When I was in 8th grade I got my first Coach bag! But, I do love clothes from Target. I will wear them anyday. PS: I personally think that why uniforms are so great at that age, they all wear the same thing and there's no competition.

I think uniforms are good too, but those 'dress down' days can have the same issues.
its just sad. not enough parents know how to say NO. my 4-year-old niece saw i had my nails done for e-party and she wanted fake nails too. i said when u are older. a week later her dad bought her fake nails from the $ store!!! at least her mom made a deal w her that said she can only have them INSIDE the house, uggghhh

I'm pretty old fashioned... and FH talk about this all the time. He has two brothers age 17ish. The crap they get away with it CRAZY.
I see little 13 year olds pregnant in the mall, and it just makes me sad... And hell no would I dress like that at 13.. wow, I was like Colleen sweatshirts and jeans til I was 16 or so.
