~The Ultimate Fitness Thread~

Original post by flairforfashion

Okay, this is for all of us that pigged out this weekend!

Since we all agreed that we have all had a little too much to eat and drink during the weekend BBQ's- let's help eachother get motivated to get back on track! What will you do this week to erase all the bad eating you did this past weekend?

i CANT GO FOR A LONG RUN ON A TREADMILL THAT EARLY. I WOULD HAV ETO BE OUTSIDE & SINCE THE WEATHER IS COLD IT DOESNT HAPPEN. IM BETTER OFF GOING TO THE GYM AFTER WORK. ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE MY RUN, BACK & BI'S & ABS. TO MUCH TO SQUEEZE IN EARLY. I LIKE TAKING MY TIME & FOCUSINGON THE MUSCLES. ITS NOT GOOD TO RUSH THROUGH.

I went Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday! I was going to go last night, Thursday, but I was working on a giant project and didn't get home until 10:30.

I am trying to mix some cardio with weights!

(Hey I just realized I posted twice on this thread!)

I know it's not great but it's better than nothing - I walked with my puppy three afternoons this week for about 25-30mins each time.

Congrats on your weightloss!

Right now, it's 2:48 AM and I need to sleep- I wanna go to the gym tomorrow morning. Do any of you girls work out during the weekend? I usually go once because I eat what I want on Saturdays. So, I gotta balance it out by doing some cardio!

OK So im an avid runner. I run anywhere from 4 to 10 miles at least 4 times a week. I run 8 min miles. Since i live on a beach & have a boardwalk when its nice i run that & then hit the gym for weight training later. If its cold Ill do everything right at the gym. I belong to Synergy. I had a personal trainor for 3 yrs & from that picked up everything i need to know. I am now taking courses to get certified myself. Im pretty much at the gym 3 to 4x a week. Joe also is in excellent shape & worksout at least 3x a week.

I dont want to lose to much weight a few lbs would be good. But overall Im content with myself & Joe loves every bit of me!

Are you taking your courses online or going to the seminar? I am saving up to do my online courses...I currently have my Spinning certification and have been teaching since I was inc ollege, but i definitely want to get a personal training certification!

my brother's in school for his personal training cert right down the road from us in oakdale. i can find our about his program if you're interested.

If anyone is interested, my FH owns his own kickboxing gym in Amityville Village (Suffolk County) called Campbell’s Karate & Kickboxing. His women’s kickboxing class is a huge success. There have been many brides/bridesmaids that have taken his classes, and have been completely satisfied. I take the class (as well as most of my bridesmaids) and we all plan on sticking with it to stay in shape and fit into our dresses.!!

He offers classes 6 days a week, for a VERY resonable price. If anyone wants to check it out call 631-813-2092, or go to www.ckandk.com. His name is Bobby. If you call let him know that you're from LIWeddings.

Maybe a bunch of us brides to be can get together and motivate each other into making sure we look good on our day!!!!

**There are even classes the FH's can take to get into shape!**

Vicki- that is awesome! I too have been working out frequently for almost 4 years. I lost almost 40 pounds since 2005 and have maintained since then. I have also fluctuated as well between 120-130 within this time. Fitness is so important to me and I make it part of everyday life!

I'm too poor for a gym!

I'm usually pretty good with doing crunches and stuff but I've been slacking lately. I don't need to lose too much (maybe like 5 pounds) but I need to do SOMETHING about my hips/thighs. They're so out of proportion to my body!

I was thinking about getting one of those tiny stepper machines - not the big ones, they're kind of just like a little stepper without the hand holds or anything. Has anyone used one or even know what I'm talking about?

Re: ~The Ultimate Fitness Thread~

I love fitness and nutrition! I am a spinning instructor for the past 6 years and have always wanted to eat right. I had an eating disorder during college so I am very careful not to let it get too crazy. I am working with a trainer and nutritionist to lean out for our wedding. I am a tiny person so any ounce I gain can be seen! I want a nice toned athletic look and am willing to work hard to do it! I have been training pretty seriously for a few years and I love talking about fitness/getting new ideas and helping others (if possible!) So if anyone has any questions regarding food/nutrition/workouts feel free to FM!
