Okay, this is for all of us that pigged out this weekend!
Since we all agreed that we have all had a little too much to eat and drink during the weekend BBQ's- let's help eachother get motivated to get back on track! What will you do this week to erase all the bad eating you did this past weekend?

Re: The Ultimate Fitness Thread *Update*
I try to go to the gym 3-5 times a week. I mostly do cardio but I weight train with FH when we can go together. I'm not on a diet and I eat like crap. Carbs are my friend! I don't want to lose any weight, just maintain and tone. I hate being so busy with school though because I'm too tired to go to the gym. I haven't been there since Sunday this week.

Re: The Ultimate Fitness Thread *Update*
Great thread. I belong to Koga Fitness in Coram. I have been weight trainign 4x per week and doing cardio 4x per week since september. I used to only do cardio for at least an hour each time...usually 6 days per week. It didnt work lol.
I used to do weight watchers which worked for a while btu then I started eating foods that were low in points but had no nutritional value. So I started looking at Bodybuilding.com and found some advice. I just signed up for a training and nutrition plan for myself for nine weeks. I will get workouts and meal plans from a trainer for the next 9 weeks! I want to be lean and toned! hope this works!

This is a great thread! I need A LOT of help and motivation. I just want to keeping eating out and poorly on the weekends. I am good during the week but I need to get to the gym. I went to look at a new gym today b/c it's 24hrs - I went to talk to them and IT WAS CLOSED!!! I mean if you are a member already then you can go there to work out but if not - you have to come back when there is someone there to talk to you.
I am so scared to go b/c I am sooo out of control right now! AND when I finally get there - the 24/7 gym in closed - unbelievable!!

OK So im an avid runner. I run anywhere from 4 to 10 miles at least 4 times a week. I run 8 min miles. Since i live on a beach & have a boardwalk when its nice i run that & then hit the gym for weight training later. If its cold Ill do everything right at the gym. I belong to Synergy. I had a personal trainor for 3 yrs & from that picked up everything i need to know. I am now taking courses to get certified myself. Im pretty much at the gym 3 to 4x a week. Joe also is in excellent shape & worksout at least 3x a week.
I dont want to lose to much weight a few lbs would be good. But overall Im content with myself & Joe loves every bit of me!

Are you taking your courses online or going to the seminar? I am saving up to do my online courses...I currently have my Spinning certification and have been teaching since I was inc ollege, but i definitely want to get a personal training certification!

I go to Gold's in Bellmore. I have a free lifetime membership thanks to FH and his friend who do their computers! FH and I have been slacking the last month or so.. between work and classes, I just want to go home and relax... not go to the gym! But, I'm going more than I ever did in my life so I guess that's good. I just hate that it's in the same town I went to HS in and all the aholes work out there.

If you are looking into the online courses the best to do is ACE. Its a very good course. The best (believe me). Its probably the one online course that gyms will deem as a real certification. But I was thinking of taking other courses at Hofstra as well. They have a wonderful program there.
Good luck!

Re: The Ultimate Fitness Thread *Update*
So I actually went to the gym today with FH. He's doing great and lost 14 lbs in 2 weeks. The doctor's been really impressed with him. As for myself I've been doing cardio... and free weights. I also had a personal trainer for a year and she taught me all that i need to know when doing free weights and machines. I've been fluctuating with my weight for the past few months but i'm pretty confident that i'll be able to lose what i need before the wedding.

I just have to say, since this Jan I've been working out on my Gazelle every weekday morning for 30 min and starting taking Yoga classes for the first time starting this past Feb about 2-3 times a week.
Well I lost 1' around my waist already. My goal was 2.5' (so I only have 1.5' to go). I'm wearing my skinning jeans today that I haven't worn in 2 years. I am so happy. I love Yoga, it's so motivating me. I just had to share my news.

I belong to NYSC. I go about 3 times per week, doing elliptical cardo and then some weights. I am not much for classes. NYSC is expensive, but there is a gym right near my office and right near my apartment so it makes the most sense!
