Ok...So I just have to vent how my 2nd visit to the wedding center in Commack was jsut horrible. First.. While I was waiting for one of my bridesmaid to arrive, I decided to look at invitations. I saw that they have an Encore book and was interested in seeing it. I asked one of the sales woman if I look at it, and instead of just saying 'yea, sure'.. she goes like 'Um, how much are you looking to spend?' I was like 'WHAT'
Sales woman: What is your budget? Me: I dont know, around $300, can I just see the invitations? S.W: well these are too expensive. Me: well, how do you know if its too expensive for me? S.W: Cause you just said $300, and these are more than $300 you should look at these (Birchcraft) Me: I just threw a number at you, I didnt know that you would tell me what I can and cannot afford or look at.
this went on for like about 5 mins.. by the time she gave me the book I was soo pissed off I was just flipping pages and cursing her out in my head.
I dont know but I surely dont think I was wrong for feeling insulted.
Next, when I was trying on dresses the sales lady didnt even bother helping me clip the dresses. My bridesmaid, thank god for her did all the work. I found a dress that I liked and while my bridesmaid was helping me into it, the sales lady (I wish I had her name) said to my bridesmaid.. dont bother (Too clip it) I'm too big for the dress. I'm only a size 12.. for gods sake she made me feel like I was huge whale. Its not my fault that they only carry sample sizes...
egh... they need to take a class in customer service 101!

I would call them tomorrow and complain to the manager. I would definitely take my business elsehwere. The nerve!!!!

the woman your talking about was she the older woman - short - short hair - and wear glasses around her neck? if so I believe she is some sort of owner if i remember correct. I felt the rudness flowing out of her- shes the only reason that I will not return there. plus 2 dresses i found there I found at lillettes in baldwin

Not to defend her behavior by any means, but maybe she didn't want you to waste your time looking at something that was way out of the price range you told her you had in mind?
That being said, after she told you those were in a different price range, there's no reason she shouldn't have just let you look at the book ....

That place is just horrible. They make you feel so worthless and that they are doing youa favor if they speak to you. We had a bad experience there when trying to find my MOH dress. Instead of paying attention top their customer they were more concerned with what they were going to order for lunch and if anyone had heard that they were having a sale at so and so store. We were standing there for the longest time and there were no other customers. Go somewhere else! Actually RUN to another place.
