The Wedding Center vs. Bridal Elegance vs. Adrienne's Bridal

They are all giving me the same prices for the Jim Hjelm bridesmaid dresses my girls are ordering. I've heard A LOT of mixed (more neg. then positive) about Bridal Elegance. Some mixed about Adrienne's and not much about The Wedding Center.

My concern with the wedding center is since they do EVERYTHING (dresses, invites, photo, limo etc) they can't be specifically good in anything. But I could be wrong.

Thoughts or experience with any of the above 3 stores?

TIA!

Re: The Wedding Center vs. Bridal Elegance vs. Adrienne's Bridal

I was in a wedding a few years ago and we got our dresses at Adrienne's it was a fine experience the only thing was they pushed for everyone to get larger sizes than we were. Hence, more alteration fees. Other than that though it was fine.

Just 2 weeks ago I went to The Wedding Center to order a BM dress for a wedding I am in in July. My experience was neither Here nor There. I basically went in saw the dress, got measured. They weren't overly friendly but not rude either. The store was insane (and a little overwheliming IMo) with the amount of stuff they have Dresses, favors, accessories, etc.

If you're girls are just getting measured I am sure either one of these would be fine. If they go to Adrienne's though just make sure they don't get talked into a larger size unless they (your BM) wants it

Re: The Wedding Center vs. Bridal Elegance vs. Adrienne's Bridal

I know many people have said very bad things about the wedding center but I had a great experience. I went with my girls on a Saturday, we got there early because in the afternoon it can get crazy and we had no problems at all.

They were all measured back in November and my wedding is in July and just yesterday I got a call that they were already in! Well ahead of schedule. Not sure about alterations yet, but so far, they have been great! :)

Re: The Wedding Center vs. Bridal Elegance vs. Adrienne's Bridal

Are you talking about the Adrienne's in Islip? If so, me & my friends had a bad experience there for one of my BM's weddings back in '07.....

They 'lost' one of the BM dresses. Gone. Had no explanation. We ordered 7 dresses and only got 6 ...thank God one of the BMs dropped out so we had enough dresses. They also forced us to get larger dresses so that we'd have to pay more for alterations. And guess what...the dresses NEVER fit right so the whole wedding video is us picking up our dresses. We were young at this point and didn't know any better but now we don't let that shiit happen n e more lol. It seems a lot of places do that. We signed waivers saying we want a smaller size than they suggested for our other friend's wedding...and guess what...they fit! ETA: The place we signed waivers at was not Adrienne's...we would not use them again.
