The wow moment

Original post by kellybean

I have read and her stories of people having their ' wow ' moments where they see their dress and cry and fall in love and know its the one? I havent exactly cried when i have tried on dresses etc...but I have really liked alot of them.....I just dont know if i havent found the one yet or if its ok not to cry and all that

I tried on some dresses and thought I found 'the one' but Iooking back now I didnt leave that place feeling happy. When I tried on more dresses the next day I definitly had a different feeling. Plus the fact that my mom cried when she saw me in it helped too!

Yea my mom cried too and so did I which is odd for me but I think everyone is different.

and I hate the way I look in dresses ...I have gained so much weight the last 2 years it drives me crazy ..I feel like stay puff the marshmallow man vomited all over me

Re: The wow moment

I cried the first time my mom saw me in a wedding dress, even tho i didn't like the actual dress. . . just bc it was a beautiful moment.

I did NOT cry when I put on my dress - I just knew I wanted it.

I know I had the moment... I was holding back the tears, and I saw my mom start to cry! My dress is definately the one! Me and my mom are very emotional people though... so I wouldn't say you necessarily have to cry in order to find your dress... no worries!

I didn't have a WOW moment. I picked based on price, comfort, color and style. With all those boundries, I am not sure I could have had a WOW moment.

I didn't cry or even get teary, but I definitely had a 'this is the dress' feeling. Also, I didn't want to take it off.

Same here, I just knew that this was 'THE' dress.

Re: The wow moment

I tried on a lot of dresses at the first place I went to. My mother put down a deposit and I really thought I found my dress. The next day my sister and I went to another salon and I put another dress on and fell in love with it. I was so excited that i brought my mom back the next day and she didn't like it. We started dress shopping all over again. I ended up trying on the same dress at 4 different stores and that's when I realized it was the one.

I didn't cry when I initially tried on my dress, but I almost cried at the 1st fitting when they told me it was too small...that being said, you are perfectly normal for NOT crying!

I didn't cry, I actually had doubts (not because I didn't like it, but at how fast everything was happening. When I went out, I didn't think I would've bought my dress that day). But the more I look at it, the more I know I made the right choice...

No tears but I just didn't want to take it off. I walked around the store looking at accessories in the dress for the next half hour at least. Only problem was I couldn't admit how much I liked the dress at first because it was my mom's choice and I didn't even want to try it on. Who knew it would actually look better on me than on the mannequin.
