Well that (according to my girlfriend who is a bridal retial exec) is true -- have you ever noticed how the line on the contracts for what you pay is a blank? If it was a set price, it would not be -- it is absolutely true that they use all clues -- what you wear when you meet them, ring size, where you are getting married to decide on the price to quote you. That is why website like this are so powerful -- we can talk to each other about pricing -- in fact, if we all using a similar vendor all put into a list what we were pating it would be a nightmare for them because there is so much wiggling on price.

Yes, very true. I once read in a bridal bargain book about the BMW/flower factor. The main point is pull up in the crappiest, oldest car you can get your hands on. Who knows the actual price of flowers? Two brides pull up in an entirely different car and were quoted prices WAY different. Wear ok clothes and if you have a big ring leave it at home. Tell them as little as possible. I'm glad my florist saw my house when she did... with the old kitchen from 1950 That day I parked my car around the block

Honestly- everything is outrageous to me.. makes me sick how much this wedding is. Ahh.. if I knew then.. but I am still looking forward to it!!
