Someone mentioned Tony DiNapoli's. That's a really good place and it doesn't take forever to eat there.

I LOVE Rachel's on 9th Ave. between 43rd and 44th. The Hourglass Cafe on 46th between 8th and 9th is good food at a great price. Orzo also on Resturant row is good. Basilica on 9th between 46th and 47th is good Italian food. Utsav on 46th between 6th and 7th has good Indian food. Ariba Ariba on the corner of 50th or 51st and 9th good Mexican.

I second all of these. Rachels is one of my favorites in the whole city. Add Hells Kitchen to the list - a great pseudo-trendy Mexican Joint on 9th.

Great suggestions Mz. Heidi. :)

Re: Theater District for dinner...updated

We wound up seeing The Producers last night! OMG SO FUNNY! I highly recommend it.
Anyway, we ate dinner at a little italian place next to the producers theater, called John's Pizza. It was very nice inside, and the food was affordable and yummy!

I LOVE the restaurant 44 & X.
It's on 44th St. & 10th Ave. AMAZING food, funky atmosphere, not touristy, in Hell's Kitchen, very short walk from Theater District.

I second this, I live about 20 feet away from here, and this place is amazing!!
