Tony DiNapolis is a good replacement for Carmines (meaning family style)

There is a place called Simply Pasta on 41st between 6th and Broadway - great ambiance, service, and food - and reasonably priced!

Ok thank you!
2 for Tony di's-

That was my other chocie, btu they had no availablility, so i ended up at Serafina

Latanzie -- I don't know if I'm spelling it right is on restaurant row (46 or 47 Street, althought I walk past every day, I never remember which), and one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in my life. It is a small, old-world type Italian restaurant, not at all commerical or touristy. A little on the pricy side, but sooo worth it!
There is also a huge Irish bar, r O'Flaherty's (again -- there on that street that is fun and has food and often has food.
Most of the restauaurants on restaurant row have pre-theater prices, and you usually do not need reservations.
Have fun!
