Re: Theme

I'm doing somewhat of a fairytale/medieval/renaissance theme... I'm getting married at a hall with a medieval theme and decor so that the majority of it... my gown is very renaissance-y, my invites were scrolls... little touches like that -- not taking it tooooo far.

Fall/Halloween theme here as well! Us October girls are really into the fall thing! We are giving out masks and candy apples as favors and there will be carved pumpkins w/ our names and the date all over!

I've seen some fun summer themes - the beach one is really cool, my cousin just got married and did a pink and white theme it was really pretty.

I am jealous of the fall girls...thats originally what we wanted!

We are having all different shades of pink, simplicity, modern, etc. Sounds weird but its all coming together nicely.

We are having an Autumn theme...so maybe a season! Your wedding is in summer, so you could have a beach theme...with seashells, or a sunshine theme...and use a lot of yellow!

Mabye these:
Favorite color
Favorite mutual hobbie: ie: Music, Surfing, Hikeing?

We are using maple and oak leaves on everything...(for autumn) and keeping with the theme...our cake will have chocolate leaves all over it!

Here are some pics of our theme things:

We dont really have a theme. I like too many diffrent things to focus on one. Will that look stupid? I hope not. I am just getting what I like and hoping it all fits in somehow.

Re: Theme

Our wedding theme was the color Champagne with accents of gold and ivory. It was the perfect color for a mid-summer's afternoon wedding. We plan to do our living room in Champagne to bring some wedding bliss into our new home. I LOVE Champagne!

I had a Medieval Theme ( Camelot/King Authur time period) .......My colors were Cream/Ivory and Gold. I designed my inviations and had them made in Australia. They were hand made. They were rolled Gold Scrolls with sticks at each end. The scrolls were on gold textured paper with the writing on velum paper attached over the gold background. My menus, table names were names of Castles, and place cards read: Sir____& Lady____ etc. I wanted very different and Unique.

Re: Theme

We're doing a nautical theme. Danfords is decorated with a yacht club type decor. Plus, we are using sailboat shaped escort cards, naming tables after bodies of water, using periwinkle, seafoam green and pale purples as colors, and using a nautical compass as our motif on invites.

I don't know if it's a 'theme' but there's going to be a whole lot of pink and every type of box associated with the wedding (OOT guest boxes, favor boxes, the card box, etc) is going to be Tiffany's blue.
