Theme Ideas

I actually went to a Hawaiin themed wedding many years ago. They had Hula dancers and a knife throwing dancer. They had hawaiin themed mugs/glasses such as pineapples that were the favors. They even had a volcano as their wedding cake. It was quite unusual.

I'm getting married at Crest Hollow in July of 2002, and we were looing for something a little different as well. We looked into having the whole affair outside, but the costs are higher and too risky--weather! So my fiance and I decided to do a Hawaiian Luau theme wedding reception. I'm choosing bright fruit colors, and tropical flowers. We're having a tiki bar for tropical drinks and everyone will get a leis. We are going to make the affair 'Luau attire optional' instead of black tie optional. Use your imagination, and the month or season you are getting married. Good Luck!
