There is a BEE in my house....

I'M TERRIFIED! I can't even go over to kill it because I'm scared I'll miss and it'll get mad and come after me! AUUGHHHH! I can't even close it in a room, because the whole downstairs is all open.

I'm freaking out, it's been in the house for over 5 hours. I can't use bug spray because I have birds in that area.

UGH I hate bees!! I'd be freaking out too!

Maybe put a bowl of sugar water on one corner to attract it, then you can spray it once it finds the bowl?? Someplace away from your birds??

Good luck!!

Do you have pool....if so then use the skimmer and trap it under the net and have your FH get it when he gets home.... or get a big bowl and stick it on top of the bee and wait for FH to get home....

or go shopping until FH gets home lol.

Good luck!!!!!!

Well, the way this thing got in my house was that it was trying to sting me...I was outside with my dogs, and out of nowhere it came after me, I ran inside and it followed.

It's on the wall, but high up...so I can't swat it because I won't reach...I could get a step stool, but that's just too much time near this bee, and I'll probably pass out.

I have a real PHOBIA with bees, wasps, anything that stings. THis SUCKS!

I called FI, but he's doing a surgery, so he can't come home! (He's not too far away).

If I open a window, I'm afraid one of it's friend's or brothers will come in too!

Besides, most of the windows are picture windows, they don't open....I could open the door, but with my luck, more will come in! (I have tons of flowers outside)!

OH MY GOD!!! I say lock yourself in your room and don't come out until hubby gets home.

The same thing happen to me a couple of months ago. I was sitting at my computer desk in my room, all of a sudden a bee comes out of nowhere. I started screaming and freaking out. I ran out of my room left absolutley everything on.

I started freaking because I couldn't wait for hubby to get home because I had to go to work myself in a couple of hours but my clothes were inside the room. At end I ended up calling my best friends boyfriend to come to my rescue (hubby was really busy couldn't leave work).

When he comes he went in my room and said that it smelled like something was burning. I checked the toaster oven and everything else because there was a little smoke in the air. He look high and low for the bee but couldn't find it anywhere. We had no clue what happened but I took my clothes out and locked the room.

That night hubby came home to look for the bee. When I got out of work and asked him if he had found it, he said 'yes and you would never believe where'. I was like 'where? It better be dead'. He said 'Its dead alright and its charcoal'. The Bee got attracted to my standing lamps that has a florescent light..the Bee tried to go underneath and it got completely fried. That is why it smelled like BBQ in my room when my best friend bf came over. I couldn't stop laughing.
:EMO19

So do you have a florescent light to put near it?

I think FI got sidetracked at work, he should've been here by now!

I can't believe how ridiculous I'm acting, I'm in a panic!

TALK ABOUT PHOBIAS!!!!

I completely understand. I always go into a state of panic when I see a bug. Just try to calm down and take deep breaths.

Re: There is a BEE in my house....

FI just called, he's not going to be home for at least another 3 hours! THis STINKS!

I'm going to try to find some courage and just kill it.

If I'm not on the boards for a while, that means I passed out from fear!

Re: There is a BEE in my house....

Well, I was waiting for a BUG THREAD. hmmm...I went away on vacation for a week , and asked my sister ot take out a bag of garbage from the house and she forgot and also lowered the air condioner too low, my sister was feeding the cats. My 2 babies- Tiffany and Icarus, well anyway, a fly got in and laid eggs in the garbage, I thought I was going to DIE, but, stayed as calm as I could, I do not live with bugs, no way YUCK, and tried to kill them at first with RAID, but it was not that great, so I picked up a bottle of FANTASTIC cleaner, and sprayed after 2 squirts they would drop and die, maybe that would work? PS UPDATE I have been fly free For 2 weeks now!!!!

SPRAY IT WITH HAIRSPRAY!!!!

The wings will get stuck and it won't be able to fly. This works on ALL bugs, and it sticks spiders into their webs, too.

Hairspray? That's a great idea!
