They closed FHs school for the week

This swine flu thing is crazy, Last week FH said tons of school were absent and going home sick and lastnight we hear his school is being closed until next Tuesday!!! They better clean that place up. He's so happy he has a week off, now we can take advantage and do some wedding things

Hope anyone who is sick gets better though, it's so crazy

You know, honestly, what is it going to take for them to just take the necessary precautions and clean the school for a few days??!!!! HONESTLY PEOPLE!!! Dana, a principal DIED of swine flu?? WHAT??!!!

FH's school doesn't care because they won't even confirm the cases in his school because not one of their kids (the school board/administration) attends in that district :( it *****

One of my friends is a music teacher at MS158, one of the schools that is shuttered this week. She said that last week, kids were dropping like FLIES and that every teacher was directly exposed to it.

The only sad part, she said, was that her 8th grade band kids are missing out on a competition they were supposed to perform at on Thursday--something they've been looking forward to since they started at the school.

Thats too bad!

FH's school had 149 kids out sick on Fri, and 30 more left that day with fever. 234 out sick today and when i spoke to him this morning he said another 8 left with fever. why arent they closing this school????? dont they know we're getting married on Sat????

and to top it off, I feel like sh*t. I dont know if its psychological or allergies or what, but i'm not taking the chance and i'm going to the dr... now actually lol. 1:15 appt.
