They think my sister has cancer.

My dad got a call from her Dr and said he thinks she has ovarian cancer and she may have to have a hysterectomy. She is ONLY 19!!!
They can save her eggs right and maybe she can have a surrogate or something?

I'm so sorry to hear this but please think positive. I know its hard. Just before my 16th birthday, they told my parent's the same thing. They found an ovarian tumor the size of a grapefruit. They where 95% sure it was cancerous. I was operated on within 2 days and no cancer was found. They removed the tumor and half of one ovary and I have had no problems since. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and especially your sister!!

I am so sorry for you sister and your family Something similar happened to my friend at age 18... she had pre-cancerous cells though, not cancer, and it was cervical not ovarian. She had surgery to have them all removed. She is OK now but it is really scary. She is lucky because it was her first time to the gyno when the found it. If she had waited then who knows if it would have spread. Just be glad they caught it early!

Thanks girls. She has had female problems since she was able to have menses. I hope it isn't cancer and something small. I will keep you posted. Thanks again

How far in the process is she? The thought I may have cervical cancer (Biopsy showed I didnt') and I had a tumor in my breast (benign). DOctors scare the crap out of people before all the tests are in.

If all the tests are in and she does have cancer, you and your family are in my heart and prayers!

ETA: either way you are in my prayers. Its a terrible thing to have to go through this. I hope everything is OK.
