1. My crazy friggen neighbor who feels the need to knock on my door for any and every reason under the sun, and her 6 year old still in pull-ups. Once she knocked on the door to ask me if I get mold in my tub! And she told me a great solution!! I wanted to tell her that I prefer to mix ammonia and bleach and suggest she try it, with the door closed and no ventilation.
2. Not having a washer and dryer in my apartment, and having to walk outside around the building to do my laundry in no bra with yesterdays makeup all over my face.
3. The really big lady in the other building who wears BELLY SHIRTS.
4. The weirdos who put a lawn chair in the middle of the grass and chill out.
5. The strange foreign lady who kept her stairmaster outside for several months.
6. Whomever decides to put salsa music on at 11pm wayyyyyyyyyy too loud.
7. The maintenance man who let my dog out and decided not to say anything..... and I love the people a few blocks away who took her in and called me!
8. The disgusting food smells.
9.The lady who talks very loudly on her cell phone outside in front of MY apartment at night.... until the other night when the windows were open and I yelled, 'Talk in front of your own goddamn apartment.'

Her kid used to walk right into my apartment. (I used to keep the door unlocked when I was home.....). Then, after I began locking it, he would open the mail slot in the door and look in. I had a Raymour & Flanagan ad taped to the back of my door for months.
She also feels the need to alert the mailman when we are away for the weekend, and take my mail in. I have a goddamn slot in the door, the mail can sit on the floor until we return!!!
OMG, i'd call the post office and claim she stole your mail, that is a felony, she'll DEFINITELY do time for that!!!

She's just so dumb. Every time we go away for the weekend, I pray we don't see her. She is the last person on earth I want knowing my apartment is empty...... she'll just tell whomever she comes across.

My FH and I are lucky b/c we don't pay rent (it's worked in through his salary) he's a property mgr and works for the company that owns our building. So we try not to complain too much but OMGGGGGGGGGGG i can't stand anyone in my building!!! There's a guy that lives downstairs, he seems kind of slow. he always repeats himself, and doesnt wear clothes that fit!! I dont know if he just doesnt have money for new clothes or doesnt have anyone to take him for them but he has to walk around holding up his pants cause they're like 4 sizes too big, he smells so badly. People actually complained of the urine smell coming from his Apt.... Then we have the strip mall right next to our building, so when the guys are loading the delivery trucks, all you hear is spanish music BLASTING. It's usually every morning starting around 6am... There are these 2 guys that have an apt downstairs from us and they have like 7 ferrets...now we're not even allowed to have animals, but for some reason no one gets in trouble. And the smell coming from there apt when they open the door..you can pass out from it.... Oh and then the hike downstairs to the laundry room is KILLER...FH decided to buy us a washer/dryer combo. I dont recommend one cause its the hardest thing to work lol we've had it for over a week and still cant get it to just do one cycle. It will wash and then dry and then just start washing again lolol
Sorry this became a really long rant!!!!! I feel better now though

I have no closet space either...I feel like all I do is clean the apt b/c its so cluttered with stuff, that it always looks dirty lol We def. need at least a 2 bedroom, until we can afford a home. Which will be never if everything stays so damn expensive!

Hmm because it is the basement apartment of my parents house, I hate when my brothers and sisters think they can just waltz on into my apt without asking whenever they want.

I have ALOT of clothes and shoes and just STUFF and its soo annoying when I want to find something to wear, sometimes I have trouble finding it I cant wait to move, I need a whole room to be my closet

Wow. I could go on for ages about the things I hate about my downstairs neighbors. We live in a 2nd fl apt in a house, absentee landlord, and the tenants below us have been there for 18 years. THEY NEVER EVEN USED THE BACKYARD AND NEVER HAVE PEOPLE OVER. Who does that???
They are complete slobs. (Guess that is why no one comes over ... ) The entrance to my apt. has a locked-on-both-sides door that leads to their bedroom, and the smell coming from it is horrendous. I don't even want to know. Once, we helped them move a couch out of that door because it was the only door that it would fit through (their entire apt has rubbermaid bins lining every walkway) and the wife put up a sheet so that we couldn't see in. Um, hello ... if it's that bad, it's time to clean it the F up. FH taped the doorway so that it would block some of the smell.
We cannot walk out of our apt. without being stopped for an hour to talk about things like Linux, books and movies we do not like, and computer games. The guy is a computer teacher and a geek and loves to chat.
We park all the way in the back of a big driveway. Everyone can get out without having to move cars. But it narrows in the beginning part, and when I have to just run in for something, I like to park right in front, which blocks it ... well you cannot do this for 5 mins because without fail, the guy will have to go somewhere. All day long he is in and out. I swear his wife just keeps making him go places.
Laundry is in the basement. I have to walk down the stairs, around the side of the house and then down in the creepy, messy basement (because they have use of 75% of it - $hit is everywhere, just thrown about, and it's disgusting). Not bad in summer when it's light out longer, but in winter, I do not do laundry at night bc there is no way I am going in there in the dark.
These people have had a box to a BBQ outside on the floor NEAR the garbage cans for almost 2 years. What is so hard about picking it up and putting it in the can? I tried once and it's like growing into the dirt. Plus there were TONS of maggots or something on it. GROSS.
Oh, I could go on and on .... can't wait to move.

we live in a basement apartment of a 2 family house (FIL's live upstairs).......the only thing that ***** is that we pay rent, we have no washing machine/dryer or dishwasher and we occasionally get yucky spiders...........besides that we can't complain.......the apartment is brand new and beautiful!!!! and we don't have annoying neighbors and FIL's never bother us....they are glad that we moved out of our old apartment to live in their apartment so they wouldn't have to rent to a stranger so they pretty much keep to themselves which is good!

You live on the beach right. Its sux not to have a balcony when you have a beautiful view. I would love to have a house with a balcony, its like a peace and serenity spot.

MY TOP COMPLAINTS:
1. We are surrounded by neighbors so when one of them is arguing, baby is crying, doors are being slammed, etc... we hear it.
2. I hate that we can't make any changes like painting.
3. I hate that we have super crappy appliances that break all the time. We have a dishwasher, but we can't use it because it leaks.
4. Drives me crazy that kids are always running around SCREAMING right in front of our apt. Even better, they are under 10 years old and use words like shhit, ddamn, biitch and the f word.... Lucky me....

I have to say, I do love my apartment, and my landlord is awesome...
BUT! I hate not having a yard, to just be able to chill outside when it's really nice out...
I have NO storage!!! I have an entire house worth of stuff, and I have to try to cram it into 5 rooms!!
We're on the third floor...doing a big grocery shopping trip is the WORST carrying all those bags up three flights!!

Yeah I'm a landlord lol. We rent an apartment in our house - let me tell you as much as you guys complain about your landlords we complain just as much about the tenants!!!! It goes both ways, remember that!
But I can top any of this. Our street has a lot of rental houses on it. For instance the house to the right of us is completely rented out. 3 families are in it, one of the women who lives downstairs right next to our bedroom window (remember that part) lives alone, she's a little 'strange' and she likes to pleasure herself at all hours of the day and night. LOUDLY! it's hysterical my new tenants finally heard it for the first time the other day. you have NO idea how annoying it is to be sitting in bed watching tv then have to turn the volume up b/c of the porno that's being made on the other side of the fence! we call her the happy humper or HH for short.
