Things to do this weekend on/in LI??? Please help

OK- So FH has off all day Sun. It's a rare day that we BOTH have off.

We want to do something other than going to lunch and coming home and sitting the couch.

I suggested wineries and he said NO, but I still may try and talk him into it. Any suggestions?

Do any of you girls have any suggestions for things to do .... even a day trip off LI.

We ruled out AC b/c we re going in Oct. He said NO to NYC too. He is so boring lately:

Also- he is the budget guru lately so we can't do anything too too expensive. But obviously we have to spend $ to do somthing! Duh FH!
I mentioned Tanger and he wasnt too keen on that.

Tanger, lunch THEN wineries sounds like a day to me, but he didn't think so!

Rent a waverunner and have fun in the bay area :)
Or rent a kayak or canoe for laughs...teachs you to work together --- trust me on that. lol
You could go to Montego Bay in Island Park - end 4ish there's a reggae band that plays...that's fun!

You girls have some great ideas..keep em coming!

When we lived in PA we used to complain that there was nothing to do and if we lived back in LI, we would have things to do...still no. We both have opposite ideas of fun so it's tough. The only thing we agree on is going out for food and that isn't good all the time and gets .

Pack a picnic (and a bottle of wine) and drive to Orient Point (the northern counterpart of Montauk Point).

FH and I love it there.

I love walking around Sag Harbor. You can go, have lunch, do a little shopping, and check out the RIDICULOUS yachts parked in the harbor.

FH and I do it and wish we could sneak on board!

FH and i love to go to Sands Point Preserve. There is a small beach (not crowded) you can pack a lunch and eat on the beach. They also have a dinosaur exhibit, it's cute.

You can go to Port Jeffereson and walk around/look in the shops there. They have a wine store there too where you can do tasting.

Stonybrook has a nice area to walk around in also with shops and a museum, and there is a place that has canoe rentals there. There is also a sports plus out there that you can go to as well (it's like a dave and busters type place).

You can go to Dave and Busters if you dont want to be outside in the heat.

See if there are any LI Ducks games going on (baseball). Or see if you can get Mets tickets.
