What are some things you 'knew' you absolutely didn't want for your wedding, but ended up getting in the end?

for me, it's:
-- slipper baskets: i thought they are a waste of money ... then i went to a wedding and my feet are STILL hurting from it so i decided it's a must-do

-- tiara / headband: i always hated them (on me) but my mom convinced me to get a headband anyhow

-- flower girl / ring bearer: i don't really like getting the kids involved but FH really wanted to have them

The wedding in general !! I always thought I'll elope or do something simple at a restaurant.

After that, video. I originally didn't want one at at all. Then I decided to book a very reasonable priced videographer, then I saw Pennylane's work and decided I had to have them!

I'd say the only thing would be the band. We originally wanted a dj, but our parents said we HAD to get a band

there was nothing i really DIDNT want but i was up in the air about video, then i decided to go with the cheapest we found. we ended up going over budget in the end for video, lol, fml but whatevas, its done.

i also said i didnt want to spend more than like 2 bucks on each favor and went over on that.

but this is all budget stuff so egh i dunno

Limos- Originally we didnt need it because we are doing everything in 1 place but we have since decided we want to get ready in the hotel and need a way for everyone to get to the venue

Video- We though it was a waiste of money and we rather spend more on pictures. I saw someones video and it really made me want to see everyone in motion
