FH and I are thinking of doing the wedding the night before thanksgiving...can this be done in such a short period of time? Thinking it could be cheaper with vendors..but can I get a dress this quick?? Any thoughts, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Yes it can totally be done!! I planned my first wedding in six weeks....fancy dress, huge reception and all!!

I think it can be done, it gives you about 6 months to plan everything! but my only concern is that since it is the day before thanksgiving (also a wednesday) will many of your guests be able to make it?
I know we usually travel to our families houses that day and also travel in general is a huge pain in the butt!!!

I have the same dog !!! my wedding is the day after thanksgiving. with dresses depends I think you can get one at davids bridal very quicky most other places can prob super rush it but dont forget to think about a lot of people are preparing for thanksgiving traveling will be a nightmare with the traffic and people cook the night before

I ordered my dress mid-January and the ETA is July 17th, so it depends really on the place, some places will rush order but it costs extra usually. Also BMs dresses to think of. Its definitely doable and you may get some good deals from vendors who still have openings but it may also be tough finding those. Good luck with your decision!

You can do it. I'd order save the dates right away to get the word out that your wedding will be the night before Thanksgiving. You also go to an all-inclusive wedding center like wedding plaza and book all your vendors at once.

I ordered my dress the last week of February for a May 1st wedding - Had to pay a rush fee, but I had it April 15th - definitely doable

It can totally be done by then!!! Start with all the vendors and start even the small things now. It'll be a lot easier as the wedding date approaches. And I'm sure u'll save a ton of money too!!!

9 months generally the stores say...but DB gets them in quicker, even try sample sales.
