(this is for sure 4th of july)going to Vegas for a friends Jack and Jill Bachelor party...
and while we're there i'm thinking about getting married there lol
i wanna do it haa would that F*** up things for the actual wedding day?

No. One of my friends did that and she just didnt let anyone know, but she also did not have a church wedding. I am not sure if that matters.

i really want to do that so badly - go to niagara falls in canada and get married for new years....but FH thinks it would take something away from the ceremony at the RH...

no apparently because you're not married in the eyes of the church you can still get married in vegas by elvis AND have your church wedding

I personally would never do it or recommend it. Kinda trashy IMO. Would you get married in a chapel? WIth couples behind you waiting their turn

i went for labor day weekend and was soo tempted to do it...kinda regret not doing it. Having Elvis marry you must be soo awesome, and maybe youll have a mini practice of how you want the real thing to be...
Although i did notice many brides having there wedding receptions at the hotel we stayed in, and everything was soo beautiful.
You only live once, do it!

We went to Vegas over labor day too -- a spur of the moment trip to celebrate our 5 year anniv. 3 different friends made me promise not to get married while we were there, and we definitely did NOT. My parents would have killed us and we wanted to wait for Aug
In the end it's up to you... you might regret it though... it seems like a lot of people regret their Vegas weddings

I know people that have gotten married at the JOP and then later had the actually wedding. I personally wouldn't want to do it because I'd want to use my original married date as my anniversary, not my wedding date.
